He served his country honorably in the Navy, didn’t hate is country like Owebama and Biden. He was just an awful President.

Sorry, he was a clueless moron with a broken moral compass, going to bat for brutal dictatorships like Castro and doing everything in his power to put Hamas and Hezbollah in charge in the ME. He was feckless and weak and perpetually on the wrong side of human rights abuse evaluations.

I am not a fan, and it is impossible for me to be one. I lived through this idiot. For anyone that did not, imagine someone that does NOT have declining mental acuity that let little chit box Iran hold our whole Country hostage for over a year. That RUINED our economy, and suggested turning our thermostats up in summer months and down in winter months to solve the energy crisis. He was a moron, and on top of this gave the F’n Panama Canal away. He harmed the Country I love, so I cannot find the kind feelings some of you have. Probably was a decent man, but that and a quarter gets you a piece of gum in his economy.

I feel very unChristain like . But it IS the way that I feel. The feeling I had that late night I got home bar hopping...to hear our service people had been killed trying to rescue our hostages STILL hurts. Most that died were from Hurlburt AFB where I live. Thank the Navy for not maintaining their planes, but one of the biggest culprits was that joint forces wanted recognition and in on the action, and we had not done much of joint forces training at this level at this time. HIGHLY reccomend the book by James Kyle.."Guts to try" which explains WHAT went wrong on this mission. INCREDIBLE book

Jimmy Carter turned a lot of us into Republicans. He was the last Democrat I voted for and I thank God I had a chance to correct my mistake when Ronald Regan ran for President.

My take is a little different. More important to honor the truth which speaks to legacy. I acknowledge both good and bad, but would be remiss not addressing how he made America less safe and our lives unnecessarily difficult ...
James Carter *was* the 2nd worst President in my life time (after Johnson)…. But Biden has knocked them both down a notch

I understand the FDR, however maybe you can correct my thinking here. He has to get credit for preparing the USA for WWII and all that he did helping England when there was ZERO appetite to ever enter that war from Republicans or Democrats. I get the rest, but I wonder sometimes if someone like Hussein or FJB were president at that time how that all would have turned out.
Sure, maybe, but his presidency to me is marked by using fear and socialist policies that did not work to extend the war and continue as a megalomaniacal leader. He was also a huge antisemite and arrogant piece of shit, he's not even close to his bad as the top 4 on my list, but he still earns the number five spot on the worst of them ...
I am a WWII hobbiest. I never heard about socialist polices to prolong the war. Is there any info out there to read up on this? I love to educate myself on anything and everything WWII. It started with me with the airplanes as a hobby. Then I just kept reading on the entire war. So I am not challenging you because I do not believe you. I just want to educate myself better. Or some examples. ( if not to much trouble)

Appreciate the response. I understand the “new deal”. We are paying for that garbage today and the toothpaste cannot be put back in the tube. Being fair, I think he did not have support of either party to join the war, and often thought he let Pearl get attacked so we could. Very coincidental no carriers were in post when they attacked.
