RFK is no Ross Perot taking votes from the pubs. He would take most of his votes from the dems. But dems are robots and very few would vote for someone without the D next to their name. Conservatives and populist went with Perot in enough numbers to sink H.
Its a mistake for pubs to court moderates and independents. For sure they lose. Dole, McCain and Romney come to mind.
McCain said with a laugh about the conservatives after anti-Christian musings and later failure to offer anything of substance to the group and I paraphrase "where else are they going to go?"
Answer: Nowhere as a significant part of the base stayed home. The arrogant SOB stepped on his own d#ck and even a conservative Christian VP could not save him.
H. betrayed the base by breaking his tax pledge Some of them and the populists went to Perot. Dems however would vote for the Satan/Hitler ticket as long as it had a D next to it
I do think RFK could peel more dems off than pubs. Enough to prevent another steal and to sink FJB. But he wont get near as much as Perot.

I liked him as a VP candidate, not as a P candidate. VP's don't get to pick or appoint anyone. Are there enough Bernie and Trump middle ground populist overlap voters that will vote for RFK, Jr. to sway the election to either Trump or Biden? If so, would they sway it to Trump or Biden?
I think with him adding this progressive lady will keep moderates from leaving Trump. Even the ones like Goldmom(really a demowad) that dislike Trump will not vote for him, because of the connection to the FAR left now

I like him because he's anti-establishment, anti-big pharma, anti-covaxx and I suppose I have a soft spot for him due to so many of his close family getting whacked and I figured if he was Trump's VP pick that it would pull moderates and some Democrats to vote for a Trump/RFK Jr ticket.

He is WAY left...but antiestablishment. Less of a threat than FJB and the fascists...but still a threat. I think the biggest difference in him and TODAYS demoRAT is her genuinely loves our Country. Just has liberal views(HUGE climate guy)
