CBDC or Central Bank Digital Currency is evil. So of course all dem candidates support it. So we won't even discuss them.
All republicans should be against it strongly. Let's see if they are:
DeSantis - Strongly against
My only reservation is this article is from a year ago. If anyone has anything more recent with DeSantis' stance, please share.
Trump - Unsure
I couldn't really find anything about Trump and CBDC. He has been anti-crypto for a while, but that's not really the same thing. His comments above seem to indicate he would be against CBDC, but I need a definitive yay or nay. If anyone has seen, add ITT pls.
Vivek Ramaswamy - Strongly against
Made a month ago, good for him.
Mike Pompeo - Seems to be against
Very dated, this is from two years ago. Seems to understand the risks, tho.
Kristi Noem - Against
She isn't technically a candidate, but could eventually decide to run.
Nikki Haley - Can't find anything yay or nay. Need some help here
Mike Pence - Can't find anything yay or nay. Not much interest since no one here will vote for him anyway.
Any help filling in blanks will be appreciated. All trolling aside, I hope EVERYONE here understands how dangerous it would be to let the US government turn our paper currency into digital currency.
Giving the US government total and instant control of ALL our money is a massively bad idea. I hope and pray we are all able to see that.
