Interesting! Models and Science where have I heard that before. Science is the lefts religion. Evolution is its creation miracle and abortion its sacrament. Global Warming is its catechism. Its blessed hope is communism. Technocrats are its priests and government officials its bishops. Government is its god, church and its salvation.
The Models are never accurate and are oracles of doom leading us to the salvation which is our government pbu it.
I was always pretty good in lab work in my Electrical Engineering classes. Models would predict the ideal result but were never in line with reality. One time we had a clunky old variable resistor box, and horrendous noise in our experiment. I grounded the metal chassis and amazed my lab mates when it fixed the results. In another class we were to design a circuit. I was one of 2 that made an A on the assignment. It was to be real world using off the shelf parts. I had my design done within an hour while others struggled for a week. I chose a common capacitor seen in tons of actual circuits 100u, plugged it into p-spice and walah it all fell out for me. Others were modeling components that did not exist.
Collectivism is nothing more than serfdom and is the involuntary submission to the lefts god. Crisis, whatever it may be, Global Warming or this virus are the altar call designed to get one to confess their sins and come to government for salvation.

Ah data the thing we were in short supply of back in Jan and part of Feb when Fauci the high priest of corona told every one on the last day of February that trere was still nothing to worry about. 11-12 days later the virus goes exponential and the country is shut down.

I meet some of the criterion of those that need extra vigilance. I am overweight, out of shape and easily winded. I am male and 50 so just on the edge of those that see increased mortality. My father is in his mid 70s. I don't want it nor do I want him exposed.
Frankly stats mean very little to those that are one. I sanitize everything but I have been a germaphobe for a long time and had several bottles of sanitizer laying around before this thing raised its ugly head.
I have been social distancing and get a little mad at people who don't seem to care. I suffer from Charlie Brown syndrome. If I didn't have bad luck I would have none at all. Or at least my mind thinks that way. In realty I have lead a blessed and relatively care free life.
I am ready for the country to re-open but that being said I will continue to self impose social distancing until this thing drops out of the picture statistically.

CNN ran a segment last night on the 'grim reality of reopening the country', a state official from California said when it happens, anyone in public would be forced to wear a mask, no outdoor gatherings, number of people in restaurants will be capped (im sure at a level that will ensure they can't afford to stay open).

And Trump was of course asked by some political activist if he cared that reopening the country would KILL PEOPLE and Trump correctly pointed out that people are going to DIE IF WE KEEP THE COUNTRY CLOSED, a point critical thinker has already made. Calls to suicide hotlines are spiking, and unfortunately so will suicides.
