Rayshad Jackson

The TE, Daniel I....... was the first. Jackson is the first defensive recruit, tho..

We need the depth so glad to have him. I haven't seen any video or anything though. But hopefully this gets some momentum going.

Everybody knows this crap can change in an instant, but from what I am reading the lack of a splash hire is going to really hurt with this class. I am freaking dreading being alive after the 2017 game with Meatchicken. We will still be a year or so away from being good at that point. Ugh

It's not like harbaugh is setting the world on fire at michigan. It's just tough to come in so late in the process and turn around a recruiting class that was a train wreck to begin with. It doesn't matter anymore, but foley should be keel hauled for the way he handled this whole mess.

Michi,

Think big picture. Our front line takent on defense is as good as anybody's in the country. Our young talent is off the charts too. As long as we get guys who can fill numbers on that side of the ball then it's a win for this class. Offensively is another story. I feel like we need to land Francois, two backs, Ivey, and both Davis' for it to be a success. Ivey needs no explanation and we need a third QB who could be the franchise down the road. And the Davis' would give us some much needed speed. Pull that off and I don't care about anything else.

Word is Francois is staying. Ivey is sounding like AuBarn with Cowart. Ryan Davis is big. I think Cronkite could be a get as well as Scatlett. Next will be StevenbClark flipping from Cuse un the morning

Don't think it will be that bad. Fact of the matter is that if this class bombs though its on the last regime. Transition classes are usually mediocre even if you start from a nice base. We were starting with 7 damn commits, that's inexplicable. And to add salt to the wound the person responsible for leaving the dumpster fire is negative recruiting us. And if you want another factor, McElwain got hired right before the dead period limiting contact with recruits even more. Trying to get a good class in here is damn near impossible and the fact that where in the convo for so many top guys again is really a credit to the staff.

From what I've been reading it sounds like Ryan Davis REALLY likes this staff. Not just important because of Davis, but nice to hear there is a 'energetic' vibe from our staff. I just want some guys McElwain brings in here, don't care about rating. With all the guys we have, I Am sure they have some 'undereated' talent on the radar

Whatever. Contribute something, anything to a thread. My god, I swear some of you have no interest in talking football, just like to complain about everyone else. If you don't like to follow recruiting, don't post.

Some people have nothing to do but complain about all the complaining. I'm not complaining about the complaining about the complaining, just pointing it out.

Actually the kid is a 2* on the front page. What site has him as a 3* not that it really matters?

Watching his film the kid can really play (and he is going against top competition). I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't a top LB in a couple of years. I wonder if him being lined up at DE usually is why they didn't rate him higher.

I'd say his size is why he isn't rated highly. He's listed at around 205 which means he's probably 195. And he plays DE full-time in HS and his size at that position obviously doesn't translate at the next level. I like the take though because he can run. With all these spread offenses now your linebackers basically need to be strong safety types, he fits the bill.

Are we completely out of it with McCloud and Cain? Knew there was some talk initially but haven't heard anything since.
