I wouldn't call it Jim Crow 2, that's definitely a democrat talking point

Everything is race. Dims need a bill passed and pubs don’t agree? Well, it’s racist if you don’t pass it. The race card is literally played at every single turn. Elections, someone in office they want to bring down, legislation….it’s effing disgusting 🤮

Yeah that's true. Race is definitely over used by the Democrats and underused by the Republicans. These laws aren't Jim Crow. I'm actually ok with Georgia laws except for removing the electors part.

I am STILL waiting for Biden or any Dem to explain HOW these election laws, which basically brings us back to pre-covid election laws, are Jim Crow. NOONE was claiming our election laws were racist before covid (or atleast not very loudly). And some states, like NY have more restrictive laws then the ones being passed.

They are more restrictive that's for sure but I wouldn't say Jim Crow

The vegetable that you voted for certainly does.

Bottom line. It’s not difficult to vote. Have your ID ready and get er done.

Can’t open bank account, fly, sell a home, rent a home/apt, buy a vehicle, drive a vehicle, apply for government services like food stamps, Social Security, get married, adopt a pet, get a hotel room, pick up a prescription, get a fishing/hunting license, purchase nail polish at cvs, without an ID. just to name a few.

This isn’t about “voter reform”. It’s about dims stealing elections.

But but but, rural america has no Kinkos. But isn't rural america, for the most part, Repubs and conservatives. I thought most Dems/Libs are city dwellers.

Your mind is small on this. It's not about voter IDs. There are so much more to those laws. Maybe you should actually read them instead of waiting for talking points from the right. Most of these laws didn't even mention IDs. Read more then we can discuss. This is one topic that I'm really locked in on and have done a deep dive.

I know there are alot more to them than that, but I don’t want to type a 5000 word essay on here. But voter ID is a point of contention, as well as other ways of confirming voter eligibility. Your girl Kamala just said as much. Guess you weren’t paying attention. So here you go

You see, dims like you always want to claim voting is a complex issue so they can make it as convoluted as possible because they can then try to find ways to manipulate things.

Pssst: It’s not complicated. Dims just want it to be.

Hopefully you actually know more on this topic than on the others in which you claim to have knowledge. Tired of watching you tuck your tail and running

@kalimgoodman

Here’s your sign: Opening Salvo of the Texas bill focuses on ID requirements. Once again, you claim to be knowledgeable and aren’t. This is why @GhostOfMatchesMalone begs you guys to stop getting your information from shit sources.

Voting-by-Mail: New ID Requirements, Application Distribution Ban

Both the House and Senate bills would add two provisions to vote-by-mail: new identification requirements and blocking local election officials from sending unsolicited applications for a mail-in ballot to eligible voters.

With the new proposed ID requirements for voting by mail, voters would have to provide their driver's license number or the last four digits of their social security number on their applications for a mail-in ballot. Then, in order for their ballot to be accepted and verified, voters would have to include matching information on the envelope used to return their ballot.

Everyone on here should by now that I don't like or support Kamala Harris, so is she my girl and why are you linking me about things she said? Seriously answer that question

Dims are making it complicated. How so?

I hate when you try to play these gotcha games. Now I never said there are zero laws with ID requirements. I said most of them don't have it. There are about 32 new voting laws across the US and you bring up 1. Come on now.

Nobody is playing gotcha anything goofball. You were wrong, on an issue you claimed to have lots if knowledge on. Again. you acted like voter ID isn’t one of the MAJOR sticking points in voter reform. It is now, and always has been. To say otherwise makes you sound uneducated. Go listen to any of the discussions from the politicians. THEY almost ALWAYS bring up voter ID, but I can completely understand why a dim like yourself doesn’t want to discuss that part

Didn't Biden claim that Voter ID was voter suppression in GA, and voter ID wasn't in the law?

Not sure what biden said, but Georgias new law is similar to Texas in requiring an ID for mail in voting now. Even though @kalimgoodman and his thorough knowledge on the situation will probably pretend otherwise. In fact, in almost any article you find discussing the new laws, the mail in VOTER ID requirement is usually the first thing mentioned, even though shifty wants to act like its not really an issue.

Shit sources lead to shit information, which leads to credibility that has been shot to pieces for quite some time

That is not what I said. Actually they get ASKED about it because you know the media sucks. I said there is way more to these laws then voter ID, i never said voter ID wasn't a concern. YOU just want to ONLY focus on that.

SO i ask again, why did you say Kamala is my girl? and what are the dims doing to make voting more complicated? when they are not the one creating news laws?

They get asked because it is and has been one of THE primary issues in the voting debate, as well as these laws. You’re so intellectually dishonest that at some point foljs aren’t even going to engage you.

Kamala is your girl because you both stick your foot in your mouths consistently and you voted for the candidate that chose her.

If it were up to pubs it would be, come in and vote, bring your ID, unless you have a valid unavailability reason for absentee.

Pretty straight forward and simple.

I live in MD. One time voting, maybe 9 years ago, the person checking you in asks your name, then checks the list to find your name, then sends you to the next station. Well, she couldn't understand me when I was giving her my name, after the third try, I take out my drivers license to show her and she flipped out, started yelling no no no I don't want to see your license. Another poll woker came over and I explained what happened. She found my name on the list and moved me along. Still don't know or understand why the lady flipped out.

This is the same MD County where my perminant resident father-in-law could vote if he wanted to. We got him a state ID card, and the MVA automatically regisrtered him as a democrat, so his name is on the list. Anyone could walk up, give his name and vote.

No it's because the media is making a story and you would be the one who fall for it. Like they did with russia, when polling showed nobody really cared about russia. The polling data says democrats supports voter IDs. It's really a made up story by the media. See attached.

So no real reason, just you being combative and angry like always.

Voting should be easy but tell me how, these laws are making voting easier?

Another tip of the cap to the well studied @kalimgoodman

“The main point triggering the walkout? Requiring voters who vote by mail to write down one of three government-issued ID numbers – a driver’s license, state ID or last four of the Social Security number – inside a privacy flap on their ballot return envelope to ensure that the vote cast in their name is actually from them.”

Goodness. And you call others uneducated. Yes, the voters in both parties support voter ID. You know who doesn’t? The Democratic party, and everyone knows why. Thanks for making my point for me.

Time to tuck your tail and run again. The goalpost moving ain’t gonna work shifty

The voters is all that matters. Like i said it's fake news. I get you want to be right and focus on voter IDs because you were told this was a thing, so ill let you do you. When you want to have a real conversation about these voting laws and how it's restrictive we can do that but to say the democrats are the one's making voting more complicated is insane. The democrats haven't had laws passed in states its the republicans. They aren't the ones who is shorten times, allow this day but not that, adding drop boxes but at certain times and days, changing the requirements for in mail voting, saying you need a notary for one part but not the other, you call that easy and simple?

I know how you work and I dont expect you to ackowledge anything or be truthful. You'll just focus on lies and talking points.

Nah. This discussion with you started with you essentially saying these laws weren’t really about voter ID. Everyone saw it, and you were wrong (again). Yes, I will focus on your lies. You now want to move the goalpost. It’s what you do. Deflect, change the subject, move the goalpost. Rinse and repeat

You need new sources for information.

There you go lying on my words, this is the most frustrating part about talking with you. If I'm wrong then ok but don't ignore my entire post and focus on one word. I said it's not about voter ID, it's more to it then that because it is. You think voter ID is the main and only problem. I'm telling you that it's not. Stacey Abrams even said that she is ok with voter IDs. So did Clyburn. You say I'm the lib and the democrat but you're trying to tell me what's the issues are in the democrats and libs community. If I am, like you say I am, shouldn't I know more about their issues then you?

Most importantly, I never said that voter ID wasn't an issue. You're being disingenuous as always because that's how you are presenting it. I said there is more to it then that. Not sure why you feel the need to always try to play gotcha with me. Can we just have a normal conversation? It's so stupid. You are the only person besides ghost who focus on one sentence or word in a paragraph and run with it. I'm constantly repeating myself and clarifying myself with you. Like wtf man.

You like to say I switch topics, well you brought up Kamala, Texas, making things easier, dims stealing elections, all different stuff. You just can do it but not me?

You can’t seem to have normal (stay on topic) conversations with most. Last time you said it was just myself, ghost, and fsu…a few moments later….gator1776 got on you for the same stuff. Again, look in the mirror. There is a reason you keep getting accused of the same tactics over and over again.

Lastly, here is what YOU said “ Your mind is small on this. It's not about voter IDs.”

I agreed that there is more to it, but voter ID is a massive part of it. Saying otherwise is burying your head in the sand.

Go find the part in dims federal proposed voting legislation that requires ID to vote. Hint: it’s not in there. You know why? Because 1. They don’t support it and 2. It IS one of THE main issues

As for this…. “You like to say I switch topics, well you brought up Kamala, Texas, making things easier, dims stealing elections, all different stuff. You just can do it but not me?”

Those were all brought up in the context of….wait for it…the topic of voter ID.

Stay on topic.

I said more after that..once again, you cut off my entire paragraph and FOCUSED on one thing. Proving my point. It's all about gotcha with you.

The John Lewis voting rights act allows for states to require voter IDs if they see fit. They just would need pre-clearance...

That was struck down by the supreme court but John Lewis act would bring it back to all states.

Ok shifty. This us why your sources are shit. The act mandates lots at the federal level. Notably absent….requiring voter ID. If dims want to control everything at the federal level, and they support voter ID, then shouldn’t they support requiring it in their legislation?

Pre clearance. Lol. You should be a comedian shifty.

Ps: no need to play gotcha with you. You GET yourself.

WTF are you even talking about? I said what doesn’t exist? Go ahead, put the quote here. Let’s see if you actually comprehend English. We all know you do not, but this should be fun.

Show me the part in the bill that REQUIRES and ID to vote. You know, mandates it.

Seriously, you might be the most dense poster on here.
