Offense
  • QB: Emory Jones
  • RB: Nay’Quan Wright OR Demarkcus Bowman (Big unknown here - and will that Miami transfer Lingard finally show something?)

  • WR: Jacob Copeland
  • WR: Justin Shorter
  • TE: Kemore Gamble
  • T: Richard Gouraige (TJ Moore)
  • T: Michael Tarquin
  • C: Ethan White (Kingsley Eguakun - I think White probably has some setbacks again keeping him from being the starter in game 1)
  • G: Stewart Reese (Isn't Reese gone? - Richard Gouraige )
  • G: Josh Braun
Defense
  • DE: Zachary Carter (Cox)
  • DT: Gervon Dexter (Carter)
  • NT: Antonio Shelton
  • Buck: Brenton Cox (Bogle)
  • LB: Ventrell Miller
  • LB: Mohamoud Diabate
  • Star: Tre’Vez Johnson
  • CB: Kaiir Elam
  • CB: Jaydon Hill
  • SS: Trey Dean III
  • FS: Rashad Torrence

Breakout player - Princely Umanmielen

Someone's writeup on the projected depth chart and my picks in bold. I might have some positions messed up also.

Spring and then summer workouts, followed by the rest of the 2021 class, then Fall practice.

It's way to early without seeing how things shake out, at least before Spring and the O&B game......

Of course, the speculations in the off season (as usual) will continue unabated...

PS -- Didn't Reese's Mom say that he would return?

Maybe - not sure what the deal is with his eligibility and if he can return next season.

OG Reese played in 2020. Everyone was given a nul-season by the NCAA, so everyone that played in 2020 is still eligible as I understand it.

Dan Mullen wasn't quick to agree, when he was asked if it was helpful entering spring camp with a starter set at quarterback.

"Is it set?" Mullen asked in response. "I don’t have any positions set. I’ve never had a position set. I just love competition."

That was in 2018 when it was Franks that was the projected starter. Nothing has changed since then. So while there is an 'experience' hierarchy, there are no confirmed 'startres' set for the 2021 season. It's all open for competition at every position, just as it should be....

Apparent Hierarchy: Jones - Richardson, Del Rio-Wilson, Kitna. Off season workouts have begun.
All 4 QB's are signed, in school, and on the available roster, so let the competition begin.

I will be shocked if Jones isnt the starter game 1 barring an injury based on Mullen's history with that.

Insta we have nothing else to talk about when it comes to football. If Copeland can stop dropping balls that guys is incredible. He's a difference maker. Jones is going to rip it up...and we'll be good on offense...I think everyone is concerned about what Grantham is going to bring in player development. I don't want to hear how complicated his defense is. Great coaches get results...let's see it on the field.

GN79, Gator sports talk is what this board is about,,, well duh!

Just like any off-season, there's always a lot to talk about concerning football, and I'm quite sure that we will get to every subject-topic before Sept arrives.

As to Copeland, yeah, he needs to invest in a pair of those gekco gloves...
However, he's not nearly the only receiver option on the roster:
WR Rick Wells rsSr ?
Jordan Pouncey rsJr - TX xfer
Jacob Copeland rsSo
Justin Shorter rsSo - PSU xfer
Trent Whittemore rsFr
Ja'Markis Weston rsFr
Xzavier Henderson Fr
Ja'Quavion Fraziars Fr
Marcus Burke Fr
Daejon Reynolds Fr
Plus any that might sign on NSD, or xfer in later....

TE
Kemore Gamble rsJ
#2 Keon Zipperer So
Jonathan Odom Fr
#1 Arik Gilbert Fr ***** - LSU xfer
Nick Elksnis Fr
Gage Wilcox Fr

Plus there are 5 RB's that are all proven receivers out of the backfield.

And are you one of those that only judge TG on the Co-V 2020 season, while ignoring his 2 Top 10 defenses in 2018-19. I seem to remember him putting 3-stars into the NFL, and them complimenting his coaching and system for their development.

I count 5. Didn’t some of you say Georgia had a shit show at the position with Newman, Daniels, Mathis, Bennett, and Beck in the room?

I believe you had 7. Or was it 8? So many.

Anyway, it looks like 4 to me. And USA Today.

The choke-la-homo with his head-nailed-to-da-flor
is still celebrating his teams Cotton Bowl win over the Gator's scout team (missing 25 ship players), and the fact that at least they didn't lose their 6th NC or CFP game in a row, by not playing for it in 2020. They already have that longest string of chump losses (5) in that category, which is leading the FBS.... o_O

Big Game Bob to the Lying Riley Coyote.... 🤣 🤣 🤣

At least they are still #2 behind the neutered lame for the most over-rated team annually in the nation.

There were three walkons, one if which is Muschamp’s boy. So 5 scholly. By the way, Boom us working on the staff at Georgia “unofficially”. I think that’s a good thing.

Insta you have to take your medicine this time...we got beat down and Nail is just going to keep reminding you. They got us this last time. Unless you're in the playoffs the bowl games almost mean nothing anymore...it's literally a thing of the past now. It's sad. It used to be something special to even make a bowl. These days half the team is going to show up to even play.

I've got (per USA Today)

Emory Jones, RSO
Anthony Richardson, FR

Signees:

Carlos Del Rio-Wilson, FR
Jalen Kitna, FR

Who's the fifth? Don't say Luke Matthews, he's a walk-on.

So 4 scholly QB's and 2 of them true frosh? So our entire roster is the same number as the number of QB's you brought in just last year?

I will say that I assumed when I saw that you had 7 QB's in the room they were all schollys, because walkons don't really count. If you had 5 scholly QB's that's not that many, considering Newman was only a one year guy.

No medicine to take for me. They won a game that we could have opted out of, but didn't so that we could get our scout team and Fr some game time to get ready for next year. And I acknowledged that a Big 12-10-whatever Conf. Champ can usually beat a 4 loss SEC team, so good for them. They still choke-la-homo on the games that count for something..... :p

He was a no year guy🤣

Insta mentions Jones, Richardson, Del Rio, Wilson, and Kittna. Did I read something wrong?

dont know who Wilson is.

The 'Throwin' Mayoin' -- Does he ring a walk-on Bell for ya? ;)
Or how about a walk-on WR 'Doering's Got A Touchdown'....
Or maybe on the other side, how about a Louis Oliver W-O...
Dissing on a walkon Gator might not be, the best idea you've never had....

well you do have to be careful with Insta.

he tends to list every single person at a given position that shows up on the roster, including walk-ons.

we could have 3 scholarship middle linebackers and be discussing a lack of depth, and he would list 8 dudes who are walk-ons, and likely mention potential recruits in the next 2-3 classes.

If the scamdemic goes away, as is expected now that the Presidency has been stolen, and we have a Spring practice with an O&B game, then Grantham's defense should be getting back to a Top 10 in the nation level like it was in his first 2 seasons at UF.

Now that most all of the former staff's recruits are gone, things should be improving from a roster standpoint too.

Unlike the whole Benghazi thing, which was only a ploy to sidetrack the Clinton Presidency (and vanished 5 minutes after Trump won), COVID is very real and is going to be here a while. You can thank Trump for that too, BTW. Did you see where he refused to buy more vaccine? Thanks Trump.

Blame Trump for COVID....like blaming Bush for Katrina.

Was it not a shit show up until the gimp finally got healthy enough? There was an opt out, a rock skipper, a 5'3 guy, a guy who should have stuck with college baseball, and one who didn't play until like the 6th game.

"FOR THE '2ND QUARTER' OF 2021."

Beijing Biden already sits in the WH for 1st quarter of 2021, so what's stopping him from doing the deal for the 2nd quarter?

Trump promised a vaccine before the end of 2020, something that ALL of the Rats said was impossible. (they lied yet again)

And distribution began almost immediately, which the Rats claimed could not happen before mid-2021. (they lied yet again)

And because of Trumps decisions, aren't there 2 more vaccines already available from other companies than Pfizer? 🤓

BTW, I'm eligible to get it but have refused it. Months ago I said that I'd take the (now proven and accepted HCQ - they lied again & again) instead. HCQ remains my decision over any vaccine.

The WH E-O dictator that's now tearing down our country and Trump's growing economy should be in jail, or better yet on a wall awaiting justice, but he's now the voter fraud coups Top Rat, so you his corrupt pals can take credit for everything that he does to destroy the Constitution and the U.S.A.
