I know that we all loved the thought of WG being the next great QB at UF. The kid had a gunslinger arm with the swagger to back it up. However, lets peel that onion back and take a closer look what it had to offer. From what I recall, the kid did in fact have a quick release, but how many times did it almost cost us as far as the near INT drops by the other team's defense. A pick here or a pick there, you'll would have all been screaming for his head on a platter. The bottom line is WG, DW, or TT will not be boarding that plane to Baton Rouge to play in that game this Saturday night. Albeit Treon, is the next man up and will get his shot. After he pulled off the comeback last in front 102000 rowdy UT fans, you'll were ready to crown him savior; however, his legal troubles caused him to sit out the next game against LSU. We had to settle for ole Mr Unreliable JD and still almost won the game.
For some reason UF really matches up well with LSU scheme and this year is no different. This will by far be their toughest test as well. We might note that they have not been tested like we have. The 2015 UF team's coaching is better as well our schemes and mental toughness than the 2014 team. I have no doubt in my mind that we will be victorious Saturday night when the final horn sounds in the fourth quarter.
I surely hope WG gets his affairs in order, because the Gator Nation desperately want the best for him and his family. Moving forward until he returns to the team, it's time for plan B, which is not a bad option. Even Coach Mac said at some point in the season we're going to need Treon to play in big ball games. Well boss that statement has come to full fruition. Go Gators.
