Prescott turning down top 5 money from Dallas?

Crazy if true imo. I am a Dallas fan so I have watched Prescott a lot and he is no top 5 QB no matter what any stats say. His accuracy sucks down the field even when guys are really open. He has been living off Dallas real good O line and receivers making yards after short throws mostly. He is even more limited downfield than he was his rookie season now that the good defenses have caught on. I know QBs are hard to come by but Dallas would be crazy to meet his demands as even that offer is more than he is worth. I would be shocked if anyone else gives him more than what he has been offered. I am scared Jones being so old now will do something stupid here.
 
I say try and get all the money you can. You have to remember he was a 4th round pick and just ened his rookie contract.

He wants money that guys are getting that have either been to the Super Bowl or WON the Super Bowl. Achieve one of those goals and he might get paid. He's really gonna be pissed when Patrick Mahomes becomes the first $40 million a year quarterback.

I could care less as a Cowboys fan. There are probably at least 10 QBs out there better than Prescott if they have the same players and O line around them.

I"m a huge Cowboys fan and like Prescott but him trying to get more money is insane to me. We lived off of the passing game...just like UF couldn't run the ball this last season. I think that he did a great job this last year but also think that he's crazy not taking the contract.

Yep he is crazy not taking it with how bad his accuracy was on longer passes. If that wasn't an issue we would be able to score in those bigger games. I definitely would call his bluff if I was making the decision.
 
Prescott was 2nd in the league in passing yards. He was 4th in the league in passing TDs and he was 4th in the league in QBR rating. I think he and Mahomes were the the only QBs in the top 5 in all those categories in the entire league. I’d say that’s top 5 and he’s going to get a lot of money from someone and I can’t stand the Cowboys.

Prescott isn't close to being a top 5 QB and Dallas would be a true contender if they had. a true top 5 QB. The deficiencies with him stick out when you watch him a lot. I remember he had a game where he wasn't missing open guys down the field finally and then he commences to have 2 straight doing that mess again. You can go to any Dallas board and most fans will say it's crazy to even give him a top 5 contract but Jones probably will due to his own age.

He sure puts up big numbers for missing wide open players. He’s 1 of 2 QBs to be in the top 5 of passing yards, passing TDs and QBR. Gosh he’s terrible!

His production was great this last year. We has the best RB in the league too. Told my son that today...Cowboys line was like the Gators...had to throw because we couldn't run the ball a ton. I though he played great. Doubt the Cowboys let him go. He'll probably end up a franchise player with a big guarantee.

losing that game to the Eagles was a professional blow to him.

he had no business losing it.

Honestly? With the QB talent coming out this year and next, I think I'd either let him walk or franchise him and prepare to move on.

Damn I was hoping for too much thinking Prescott might could finally deliver in crunch time I guess. Still can't believe they gave him that contract.
 
I was a Cowboys fan only during the Emmitt/Aikman years. I hate the whole "America's Team" thing and generally pull against them. I don't care what the Cowboys or Dak do (?), am more interested in what the Bucs and Jags do.

Most people in my town were Miami fans with a few fans of the new Tampa team. Just started watching Dallas as a kid and stayed a fan of them. Danny White's 3 NFCCG losses is the farthest back I can remember the seasons.
