ITG was on deck for the open portion at the start of Tuesday’s practice – the first one to feature an 11-on-11 fastball period in almost a month. Here are notes from what I saw Tuesday:
--QB Luke Del Rio was working with the 1’s today in fastball, while QB Austin Appleby was with the 2’s. Del Rio and Jarrad Davis led the ‘Swamp Jacks’ during the flex period. Del Rio still wore the same brace on his left knee that he’s worn at practices in recent weeks, but he showed no difficult Tuesday moving and working with the offense.
--A number of running backs saw looks with the 1’s Tuesday in fastball, including Jordan Scarlett, Jordan Cronkrite and Mark Thompson.
--At wide receiver, the three wideouts with the 1’s were Antonio Callaway, Brandon Powell and Tyrie Cleveland. Meanwhile, Joshua Hammond, Freddie Swain and Ahmad Fulwood were on the other side of the field with the 2’s. TE DeAndre Goolsby was with the first-string offense.
--Cleveland struggled notably on one play during fastball. As Cleveland slipped running a route, cornerback Jalen Tabor picked off Del Rio.
--The first-string offensive line consisted of: LT David Sharpe, LG Martez Ivey, C Cameron Dillard, RG Tyler Jordan, RT Jawaan Taylor
--The first-teamers on defense consisted of:
