Which posters on this board have real coaching experience? I'm constantly seeing "analysis" from people and often it's very clear that they have no clue what they are talking about. We do however, have some very intelligent, insightful people on here and I would love to get a better handle on who they are. No offense intended but coaches look at things in a very different way from fans or even players. Players often only truly understand the responsibilities of their own position.
I myself don't coach football but I am a long time hs coach. My dad was a 3 year starter for the Gators and was a longtime HS d-coordinator and head coach. I spent my entire youth listening to his analysis of every single play (often against my will). I feel like I understand many of the nuances of the game fairly well but I know there are posters on here with much more knowledge than I have.
I would love for posters who have real coaching experience to speak up on this thread so I can more easily weed through the "analysis". To be clear, I do not consider coaching your kid's youth league team or volunteer coaching for a school to be real experience. I would also love to know which posters played at a high level.
