Obviously, none of the depth charts that have been posted lately are in any way official. Until the rest of this year's recruiting class shows up and the whole team makes it through Fall practice, these lists, like mock drafts, are for entertainment purposes only - or are they ?

IMO, OL is most important area of team to work on - 4 starters gone !
The Rivals depth chart is from last season so I ignored it, but I have found depth charts from two other sources -
http://www.gatorsports.com/2019/05/uf-football-depth-chart/ and https://insidethegators.com/florida-football/depth-chart

24/7 Sports has had a few articles on the OL, but there site is not user friendly anymore -unless you pay.

The only disagreement on the 2 deep OL was at RG, with Chris Bleich and TJ Moore being flip-flopped.

I found the back ups at LG, C, & RT to be extremely interesting, as both charts had EE freshmen listed as backups.
LG - Ethan White
C - Kingsley Eguakun
RT - Michael Tarquin

Opinions from other well known posters on this board are varied -

You really don't want a Freshman starting anyhow but there'll be a couple in the 2-deep this year.

gbo, I want the 'best players' at the position to start, class is irrelevant to ability.

Insta GATOR has posted a list of upperclass OL several times but neither of these depth charts mentioned any of them.

Found out that Ethan White was rated a 4* by ESPN http://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/_/id/230547/ethan-white

Still waiting to see if CDM pulls any Grad Transfer OL out of his hat; this Rivals article only serious info I have found so far https://florida.rivals.com/news/grad-transfer-options-for-the-florida-gators-offensive-line

Waiting for fall practice & Aug 24th

GO GATORS !!

Franks?

Sigh........!

Sigh........!
Laker,

Even though QB is the most important single position on a football team, IMO, Franks, barring injury, is the clear cut starter.

Therefore I focused on this year's greatest area of uncertainity / need where I do not feel suitable replacements will automatically move up & play well.

Replacing 4 starters a stone cold B***tch !

Mullen's contiued statements on Grad Transfer OL seems to indicate his concerns.

WTF are you talking about dude???

Upperclassmen, imo, include all 3-4-5 year players, rsSo, to rsSr.

LT 72-Stone Forsythe rsJr (has starts)
76-Richard Gouraige rsFr (2018 played 2 games)
— Wardrick Wilson Fr (#37 OT)

LG 61-Brett Heggie rsJr (has starts)
78-Ethan White Fr EE (#11 OG)
#2 OG Deyavie Hammond Fr

C 66-Nick Buchanan rsSr (2018 starter)
65-Kingsley Eguakun Fr EE (#7 OC)
62-Griffin McDowell rsFr (2018 played 2 games)
(expected to challenge for OC starter, but out for spring, scooter accident)

RG 75-TJ Moore rsSo (2018 played 2 games)
67-Chris Bleich rsFr (2018 played 4 games)
— Riley Simonds Fr (#17 OG)

RT 56-Jean Delance rsJr (UA-AA, 2018 played 4 games)
64-Michael Tarquin Fr EE (#18 OT)
74-Will Harrod Fr EE (#13 OG)
==========

55. RT Noah Banks 6-5 309 rsSr - EE (JuCo-AA - #5 OT - 22/50)
(missed Spring due to an undisclosed medical condition, no update yet)

70. LG/DT Tanner Rowell 6-2 283 rsJr - Converted nasty DT, can bench press your car...

Fall practice will settle those two out. They are the only upperclassmen not mentioned on those listed 'early' depth charts.

Yes Dan would take 1-2 quality experienced 'grad-xfer' types, (mostly as insurance as experienced backups), but I think that's being taken as too big of a deal.

2 rsSr
5 rsJr
3 rsFr
7 Fr

Insta,

My apology; did not prhase my comment well. I was looking beyond the proposed starters at the top of the depth chart (who are of course upperclassmen) to the POSSIBLE 2nd team that has 3 EE freshmen on it.

Also of interst, is the listing of the Freshmen who have not even arrived on campus yet -
LT Wardrick Wilson
LG Deyavie Hammond
RG Riley Simonds

Talking about Noah Banks until extent of his medical problem is determined is obviously impossible. Can only hope & pray he is able to return to team.

Tanner Rowell seems to be the forgotten Gator; with 4 EE fresh listed before him.

No problem Jeff. I get where you're coming from, but we only need 8 for the starters and rotation, and I have confidence in Hevesy being able to get 8-10 ready to go out of the 16-17 that he will have available, even if no grad-xfers are forthcoming. :)

Not nearly as dire on the OL as it has been in the past 7-8 years. JMOHO's of course.

Well we will find out real quick on the O line as Miami will have a good front 7 on defense even if their offense isn't that good.

Correct, and fully informed as always Fev....

The scUM's 2019 Incoming Class

#12 WDE Jahfari Harvey 6-4 225 **** - 210/247 -- EE
-----
#12 OLB Avery Huff 6-3 200 **** - 207/247
-----
#29 WDE Cameron Williams 6-5 215 *** - 442
#39 DT Jared Harrison-Hunte 6-4 286 *** - 520
#52 OLB Samuel Brooks 6-1 195 *** - 751
#60 DT Jalar Holley 6-2 280 *** - 778
=====
And a shit-box load (8) of incoming transfers including:
WDE Trevon Hill 6-5 228 *** - VaTech
WDE Chigozie Nnoruka 6-2 290 NR - UCLA
OLB Jaelan Phillips 6-5 255 **** - UCLA - Pending NCAA appeal to play
------

The rest of the Front 7 2019 Roster has 5 ****'s, 9 ***'s, 2 **'s

So while they may have a competent Front 7 on defense, they are certainly not All World players. o_O -- This ain't a Bama or Clemp's-son D-roster by far.
