I voted solid Republican and I got my first Moderna vaccine after Inauguration Day.
My reason for not taking it isn’t a political issue. My reason was it was rushed and the human trials are happening now. We don’t have long term data on the vaccine and I want to be 100% sure if I’m ever going to get it that it’s safe long term.

Same but I'm different because I'm a research scientist and I literally work with getting drugs approved by the FDA and clinical trials, so I know what's good and bad. So once I looked over the clinical trail data for Pfizer and Moderna, I felt comfortable. I still haven't looked at JnJ yet.
It's new technology as far as approved by the FDA but it's something that has been in use for awhile with working with HIV. People didn't really think of using it for other viruses until recently. Modera actually specializes in mRNA work. I personally think it's amazing and a game changer if...
The side effects remain on par with what we view as traditional vaccines. As of now data shows that the side effects are the same (headaches, diarrhea, weak, etc) but we won't for a fact until years later.
Interesting, I’m going to have to look into the mRNA testing on HIV. I know they’ve come a long way in HIV studies but did not know mRNA was used in treating HIV. It makes sense since you’re trying to get the cells to produce anti HIV proteins to fight the virus.

This is not being political. Everyone should be thankful. New medicines/vaccines normally take years. I beleive it was Pelosi who said it would be a miracle if a vaccine was ready by years end. But instead Biden chose to be Political. He began his speech by saying that nothing was done for days, weeks, months and that caused thousands to die. And basically represented to the country that if it wasn't for him and his admin, covid would be a lot worse.
It wouldn't surprise me if that very speech was prepared by The Nasty Pelosi herself.

Cuomo said NY had no ventilators and that people were going to die. Trump again worked with the private sector to create and rush 30,000 ventilators to NY. They mostly went unused.
Trump recommended HCQ as a treatment for covid. The dems went apeshit and said he was a fool who was going to get people killed. They rushed to pressure doctors across the country to NOT prescribe HCQ to ANY patients. Even Fauci said Trump was wrong to recommend HCQ for covid. The same Fauci who in 2005 stated that HCQ was an EFFECTIVE TREATMENT FOR CORONAVIRUS. Draw your own conclusions.
Dems then started the 'we can't reopen till we have a vaccine, and that could take years' narrative. So Trump launched Operation Warp Speed, again working with the private sector. Again, the dems attacked him for bringing multiple vaccines to market in months instead of years. Again, draw your own conclusions.

What does giving ventilators to NY have to do the vaccine? What does declaring a national emergency have to do with the vaccine? You have to be trolling me at this point.
