He got sick March 10th and the church is in rural Arkansas. That puts probable infection back near mid Feb. Towns population is ~900 people. If case zero was in Wash State at the end of January and he was quarantined and others slowly filtered in then there was not likely time for this virus to have gotten to rural Arkansas and infected a whole church. This thing was in China in Nov. according to a report I saw. Looking at the current picture and some of the places this thing has popped up, it likely escaped China and entered America long before the end of January. It may have been here in Dec.
Another patient in somewhere USoA is an elderly woman who has been sick for 4 weeks and was initially diagnosed with plain old pneumonia. She recently was confirmed to have corona but is on the mend.

The testing probably isn't revealing a sudden explosion of new cases but probably exposing us to the possibility that this thing has been here for a while and is only now being truly exposed.
