Yes, the ACC is still a competitive conference in college football. Thanks to FSU. Outside of that, there isn't much to talk about. Funny how people can forget in 2 short years. I think it's difficult to discount a team thats 34-1 in 3 seasons so far and a team 7-1 against SEC opponents. Thanks for that by the way.

You haven't beaten us the "last few years" you've beaten us the last 2. And you haven't embarrassed us. We lost by 5 last year and in 2013 you beat us to cap off our 7 game losing streak. And trust me the embarrassment came the week before when we lost to Ga Southern.
The days of you coming over here beating your chest and talking down to us are over. Although I know you're using that smug condescendsion to mask your real feelings of fear. You know the beat down is coming. You know the world is right again and the pendulum has swung back to the way things should be.

You do understand that I don't coach for or play on the team, right? I can talk about whatever I want and it has no bearing on the outcome.
Bottom line is this. Your team is in a joke of a conference, old news. Your team is gonna get their ass handed to them in the swamp next month, recent development. No amount of posturing or smarmy smart aleck comments on your part will change any of that. Sparky

No asshat. We have a young team in a new system who have shown improvement every week. We showed what we could do if we put it all together tonight. Winning this game is not what made me think we stomp fsu. Your ineptness made me think that a couple of weeks ago.
You you know, deep in your soul, that if we play like that on November 28 it's gonna be a long 365 days for the semis. And suddenly your world changes. And so does recruiting and the outlook on the future.

It is funny how many nulls come over here and say things like that. It would suck to be an fsu fan. Win or lose at least we get to be in big games against big time teams and play at famous stadiums. Sucks for their players too. Think about playing at wake forest or duke compared to playing at places like LSU or Bama or Tennessee or texas A&M . Their players never get to experience that other than a trip to the Swamp.
You realize that ACC fans, especially fsu fans know the names of more SEC stadiums than ACC stadiums. I bet you more fsu fans can name all the teams in the east and west divisions of the SEC than they can in whatever they call the divisions in the ACC. I know that's true of fsu fans I know

We are going to handle the Noles this year. I said it even before this game...we are getting better and better each week. Not sure that we will play this good every week but well play good enough to beat them. FSU doesn't look very good this year and they aren't getting better. Looking sloppy beating teams that they are favored by 20 points for the first 4 weeks.
Let's be real here. It would be tough explaining what an Ipod or CD is to your 3 year old. Now if you had a 10 year old, he / she could relate losing to the Gators

Aside from Jerry World, the Rose Bowl, the Orange Bowl at JR, the Georgia Dome, Death Valley, the Carrier Dome, Lane Stadium, Owen Field, and Notre Dame, we hardly get out much.
Yeah ok. You realize that SEC teams play bowl games too, right? Clemson is the one and only ACC game you play that's anything like an SEC atmosphere.
Yeah and that stadium seats only 31,000 to begin with.
And I guess I was being unfair. With its 62,000 capacity and its configuration, I guess Va Tech is about on par with Miss State. At least maybe it was when VPI was any good
Before they gave up on football Virginia used to have a good atmosphere. VT is still has an SEC feel. The old Orange Bowl was crazy. NC State has a good atmosphere. Louisville was crazy for our game last year.
It's Wake. They're the smallest school in Division 1.
Dude it's a tiny nerd school. Two things always happen when we play there.
1) it rains, every time
2) someone gets injured. I remember Greg Jones blowing his knee out by stepping in a damn pothole on their field. At least they have field turf now.

Bottom line is the SEC has 4 stadiums that seat over 100,000 Texas A&M, Tenn, Bama and LSU. Also there are 3 more that seat over 90,000 Florida, Auburn and Georgia.
The next tier of stadiums, the bottom half btw S. Carolina, Arky, Mizzou and Ole Miss or as big as and have atmospheres comparable to the best in the ACC (fsu and Clemson)

Only a fool would suggest because Lane Stadium doesn't hold 90k that it's an easy place to play.

Didn't say that. I said it's about like Miss State. Because that's exactly what it reminds me of. 65,000 of my redneck brothers clanging cowbells and screaming to the top of their lungs are as loud and rowdy as Lane or Outzen any day. Plus MSU has a video board that's GIGANTIC and the owner of Peavey speakers is an alum so they have a killer sound system. For once I wasn't being mean about the ACC when I made that comparison.
That's funny, I thought Tulsa was the smallest.
