It would appear the Orange Bowl is our destination with an outside shot at the Sugar Bowl. No way can Bama stay in front of us with no good wins this season
Would this be against Virginia?
Bama would get the edge if they had Tua imo. Probably not nowAlabama always gets the benefit of the doubt and it would not surprise me if they stay in front of Florida in all the polls, AP, Coaches and CFP. We're #11 in the CFP and I see only Minnesota dropping behind us. I predict that Bama will drop from 5 to 8 or 9 and we'll be #10 behind them and Penn St. as the highest ranked 2 loss teams. We're #8 in the AP and Coaches poll and I predict we'll stay there, with Bama dropping to #7. Could be wrong, though.
Yep better than Memphis at least.

Memphis in the Cotton Bowl would be much more fun
Location is 2nd to who we play. I would like to see Notre Dame, Penn State or someone like that. No Michigan or Iowa.
Nothing to gain from that imo. At least with the Orange Bowl its good exposure in S Florida.
Everybody is making a logical case for UF in the Orange Bowl. The NCAA is the most illogical and nonsensical body in sports and the bowls are only about making money. They don't care about who has played the most ranked teams who who has beaten and lost to who. I hope it happens like ya'll are predicting, but I'll be surprised if we go to the Orange Bowl.
Don't forget the Rose Bowl, which gets the highest ranked Pac 12 team against the highest ranked Big 10 team after the Final 4 is determined. And their selections come before the Orange Bowl. That will put Penn State in the Rose Bowl and leave UF ranked higher than any other non-playoff Big 10 Team, increasing our chances for the Orange Bowl IF the CFP rankings have us ahead of Alabama. Who would be the tougher opponent, Virginia in the Orange Bowl or Memphis in the Cotton Bowl? I think Memphis. The AAC, to me, is deeper and better than the ACC. Clemson is a powerhouse, but after them the ACC is mediocre, at least this year.1 > 4 CFP

AP & Coaches Polls:
1. LSU
2. tOSU
3. Clem
4. UGA
5. Utah - Undeserving 'Token' LAC-12 team. A massive joke at #5....
Utah has only played 1 team that is currently ranked, LOSING to #24 8-4 USCw 23 - 30. Their best win was vs then #17 AzSt, currently NR...
(here's to hoping that #13 9-2 Ore stomps them in the LAC12-C)
6. Okla - A minor joke (due to SoS), lost 41 - 48 to unranked K-St
7. UF- Played the #10 SoS, losing to #1 LSU & #4 UGa
8. Bay
9. Bama
10. Wis
11. PSU

I think OK gets that 4th playoff spot over Utah if they beat Baylor again - as long as LSU isn't upset by GA..
