It would appear the Orange Bowl is our destination with an outside shot at the Sugar Bowl. No way can Bama stay in front of us with no good wins this season

Alabama always gets the benefit of the doubt and it would not surprise me if they stay in front of Florida in all the polls, AP, Coaches and CFP. We're #11 in the CFP and I see only Minnesota dropping behind us. I predict that Bama will drop from 5 to 8 or 9 and we'll be #10 behind them and Penn St. as the highest ranked 2 loss teams. We're #8 in the AP and Coaches poll and I predict we'll stay there, with Bama dropping to #7. Could be wrong, though.
We should be ranked ahead of Bama but we won’t be.
AP and them don't matter. Committee would be a joke imo if they kept Bama in front of us.

It should be obvious to anyone that the Gators should be ranked higher than Bama....
And if you look at LAC 12 Utah's schedule, they are a freakin' joke ranked at #6....
Utah has only played one ranked team, #17 AzSt. -- UU 21 - 3 AzSt
They lost @ NR 8-4 USCw -- UU 23 - 30 USCw
Utah will play Ore. for the LAC 12 Championship, the same Ore. that lost to AU.
(Ore 21 - 27 AU) and (Ore 28 - 31 AzSt) ~~ Oregon's only ranked opponents....

Location is 2nd to who we play. I would like to see Notre Dame, Penn State or someone like that. No Michigan or Iowa.

Even Penn State is sort of like Iowa or Michigan but yes at least a little different
Memphis would be great through, but get that Dallas less easy for Gator fans. Would be different and they are a very fun team with athletes. And the fact I graduated from both then Memphis State and later Florida has nothing to do with it
Everybody is making a logical case for UF in the Orange Bowl. The NCAA is the most illogical and nonsensical body in sports and the bowls are only about making money. They don't care about who has played the most ranked teams who who has beaten and lost to who. I hope it happens like ya'll are predicting, but I'll be surprised if we go to the Orange Bowl.
I don't think the Bowls control it as much as before except with the locked in conference spots. The Orange Bowl has to take the highest ranked team remaining out of the Big 10, SEC and ND I think so unless the committee screws us with Bama we should get that spot at least.
You could be right and they screw us regardless however.

Well the AP and Coaches poll dropped Bama behind us. The Committee would be crazy not to also.
Don't forget the Rose Bowl, which gets the highest ranked Pac 12 team against the highest ranked Big 10 team after the Final 4 is determined. And their selections come before the Orange Bowl. That will put Penn State in the Rose Bowl and leave UF ranked higher than any other non-playoff Big 10 Team, increasing our chances for the Orange Bowl IF the CFP rankings have us ahead of Alabama. Who would be the tougher opponent, Virginia in the Orange Bowl or Memphis in the Cotton Bowl? I think Memphis. The AAC, to me, is deeper and better than the ACC. Clemson is a powerhouse, but after them the ACC is mediocre, at least this year.
