Here's a guy I respect. Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy puts it in clear perspective regarding what must be done to save not only his state of Alaska, but America itself. It's a simple solution that even a 5th grader would know. Reopening the pipelines not only brings back America's energy independance and creates more jobs, but it also REDUCES GAS/OIL PRICES! Now I understand it's a difficult concept for liberal punching bags around here (you know who you all are) to comprehend. However, it's a measure that would strengthen our economy once again. The leftist climate change azz-wipes can say what they want to, but their New Green Nickelodeon Slime Deal is what we all thought it was......a total FAILURE! But nonetheless, I digress. It's right there below in the link.

This is the wrong board. This is the sports board.

If this was the correct board, I would tell you you are entirely clueless. The Alaskan pipeline has not been shut down, and the Biden policies, even if permanent, will not impact the state until 2030. Here is an article to that effect, from energy insiders. But if you are like the rest of the fools over on that other board, you will believe that you know more about the energy situation in Alaska than the people who work in that industry and specialize in Alaska energy, and will just say that the article is 'fake news".

Oh, and btw, pumping more oil won't lower the price. Don't you understand? The big oil companies use any worldwide unrest as an excuse to blow up gas prices. We could be pumping twice as much, gas would still costs what it costs today. And you know, we wouldn't be pumping twice as much, because the government doesn't pump oil, oil companies pump it, and aren't going to pump more to lower prices, they like high prices. Alaska's governor is playing you for a fool. "Let us pump twice as much". What a joke. No matter how much you pull out of the ground, there is a maximum that old pipeline can handle. And PLEASE don't try to play the Keystone card, because the Keystone pipeline is fully operational, and moves Canadian oil anyway.

Finally, the world uses 100 million barrels of oil a day. Alaska produces about 500K a day. 1/2 of 1 percent. Even doubling the output would not change the price of oil one bit.

Stop listening to politicians.

This is an outright lie. Supply and demand controls pricing on EVERYTHING. When the supply of something gets higher than demand..the price goes DOWN. When the IDIOTS in the Brandon administration attack oil companies with law suits, restrict PROFITABLE drilling leases, and basically declare war on the entire fossil fuel industry....prices go UP. Try and google a gas price graph. I HAVE. It starts an IMMEDIATE climb the day Brandon was installed in office. If you read that graph...it proves that no matter HOW many times little snowflakes say"The president does not control gas prices", you all are full of s***.

You obviously don't understand oligopolies or price fixing. Try visiting the real world for a while, it'll be an eye opener.

So do me a favor and help explain. go pull a gas chart(google has MANY) with a timeline. Please come back and explained what happened to me. You will not do this..because you are lying.

You don't understand the Pantshitter making campaign promises come true. The oil cartels have been around since the early 70's. America has slowly pulled up their big girl panties and over that stretch of time became mostly self sufficient as far as imports vs exports. Brandon promised us that would end. Campaign promises made, campaign promises kept. He killed the Keystone Pipeline which would move fuel to the US much more efficiently. Obummer and the EPA shut down opening new refineries in the US. That's even a bigger bottleneck than pipelines. Brandon reluctantly agreed to allow drilling on known federal dry wells once the heat got too hot politically. Now China Joe is begging oil cartels to increase production, the very same production he wanted to end. Only a mental midget that can't make the cut to the Special Olympics can't see this. But alas, surprised we are not.

Navi, there is a keystone pipeline, and it is in operation right now. It moves Canadian oil to the west coast to ship to China. Not sure how that is going to help America be energy independent.

We haven't had a major refinery built since 1977. Been plenty of Republican presidents and congresses during that time, so you can try to blame it on the Dems, but you fail.

The hilarious thing here is your MASSIVE lack of basic understanding of this (or really any) issue, yet your willingness to throw abuse at others far more versed in it than you. If you want a special olympics participant bud, look no further than your mirror.

OPEC is an oligopoly, know for price fixing. Russia is an honorary OPEC member, making a group called OPEC+. The major US oil companies operate in much the same fashion. And you know damn well every time a missile flies in Palestine gas prices go up. The Ukraine war is just more of the same. Does it matter that we get little oil from Russia? Nope. Oil is a world market, which is why we are impacted by that anyway. On that same token that is why a little extra Alaskan oil won't make a difference, because again, oil is a world market.

Have you never stopped to ask yourself why gas prices jump every time there is a world hiccup? Because the gas at the station was oil months ago, long ago refined and shipped. A change in OIL prices does not immediately impact GAS prices, unless everybody who sells gas is in cahoots.

If you can't understand these simple, basic facts, then I can't help you. But you do belong in here with the rest of the terminally stupid.

Oil was up prior to Putin’s invasion. Agree otherwise...but gas prices do go up almost immediately upon said hiccup. They obviously go down slower on the backend.

Gas prices (and spot oil) jumped well before Russia invaded Ukraine. Average gas price in the US was 2.10 a gallon when Brandon stole the election. Price was 3.20 on New Year's day. Brandon's policies oversaw a 52% jump in less than a year while Ukraine was still a gleam in Putin's eye. A world hiccup doesn't have to happen for gas to shoot up, all it takes is the threat of a hurricane in the southeastern US due to speculators. Speculators also know Brandon is good for a reduction in our domestic oil production. Anyone who slept through Econ 101 in college knows this, because he promised this. While oil is a global product it is also sensitive to regional supply. This is why the US price of a gallon of gas is so much less than the EU's. (well --before FJB anyway).

It was $1.67 here in MidTN on election day. So I have seen more than a 100% not a 52% increase.
From $1.70 to $4.00 here.

@LizardGrad89 tells me Hiden had nothing to do with this. But he also thinks the Keystone pipeline was about sending oil from Canada to China.

@kalimgoodman knows it was about a pipeline to the US, but he thinks it was sending gasoline.

These are the dems that think they are intelligent enough to comment credibly on American politics. Or any subject, for that matter.

WILL YOU ANSWER MY QUESTION???? How many times do I have to ask? WHY did gas go WAY up ecer since Biden took office. I do not need any lies, or BS diversion...JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION!!!

Asked and answered. If only you were smart enough to understand.

Here's a hint. See my thread. In the immortal words of James Carvill.......

It's the economy, stupid.

He can not because the answer IS BIDEN and his policies. They can spin numbers and whatever but Biden is not 100% wide open to all fossil fuel drilling. His green formula increases the cost per ton 7x.

There should be NO cost per ton but apparently it was ~$7 and he wants to make it ~$49.

Pubs need to zero that out when they hold all the cards again.

I know...but I have to practice my "simple layups" every now and then. It is enjoyable to easily shut him up with facts, and let everyone else see him for who and what he is. Honestly..it is like taking candy from a baby

The response is, this is an unverified quote, there is no proof Carville ever said this, but posting bullcrap is something you douchebags love to do in here.

I could have, in response, post the Trump quote about him choosing to be Republican because they can be led around by the nose and believe everything said on Fox News. But I didn't because it is an unverified, disputed quote. And unlike any of you, I check on these things and so I knew that.

And is this because I am better than all of you, and smarter than all of you? Why yes, that's exactly why.

Yes, yes of course. I'll just leave this here. 😂 Even if you only have a smidgeon of the Potato's brain you voted for, you'll understand. 😂😂😂

1. BIDEN's Policies:

Biden approved more gas and oil permits in his first 365 days than Trump did. The oil and gas companies are sitting on over 9,000 approved yet unused leases. Blaming Biden is a false flag fed to you by those who know you and your pals never, ever think for yourselves.
2. US Gas prices vs EU gas prices:

It's true, gas prices are more in the EU than in the US. But did you ever stop to consider that might be because the federal gas tax in the US is 18 cents while in the EU it can be over three dollars? Hmmm. So if gas is almost 3 dollars more in the EU...no, I'll let you figure that one out for yourself.

Gods first one out. Forget Lanardi.
What's a Lanardi?

If you mean Joe Lunardi, I'd be the #1 overall seed, and you all know it. That's why you all so quickly make things personal. You know you're overmatched, so you go for the elbow to the nuts.

As for God, well, I think I'll let him decide how he feels about me, rather than speak for him, which you have the breathtaking audacity to do, evidently.

You'd be Slippery Rock and hoping for Putin to nuke the rest of America. It's not personal, you're just a leftist cuck and it's just a fact of life. It's not difficult squashing your type like a bug, all it takes is facts (not the fake ones from the NY Times, remember those?) .

You sound just like my brother-in-law who is a big lib and is a prof. at a small town Uni. When things got tough, guess where he went. His call was (Can I buy one of your guns?)
Well, as you can guess, I don't know you brother in law, but don't you think it's a BIT different to reach out to family when troubled, vs a bunch of loonies on a message board?
