One more time..........only 2 offensive linemen commitments?

We'd better. I noticed at the end that Johnson and Ivey were both on the bench. That surprised me because the only times our line has looked competent is when they played. The rest? I'm done with them. Sharpe, Dillard, and Riles have no business playing on this level. Dillard gets pushed YARDS into the backfield damn near every play. The youth excuse is now out the window, if inexperience was the issue they'd be improving but they look worse each game. They can't play.

Isn't Brian Cox up to about 280 pounds now? I'd put his ass in there at guard on short yardage situations. He couldn't do worse than what's in there now.

Ivey got schooled several times today. Was disappointed in some of his play but he's young.

We need a QB first as Treon keeps regressing.

Ivey is more naturally a tackle and playing guard because of our depth issues. More built to deal with the sleek fast weak side DEs than the Big Uglies in the middle.

Not going to blame him for not looking great as a true freshman playing out of position

Guys, we signed six OL last Feb. We redshirted four?

They will be available next year.

We will have enough numbers. Quality? Dunno anything about the redshirt guys.

Somebody check me on who redshirted and who played, but I think only Johnson and Ivey have played

Nick Buchanan (redshirt)
Richerd Desir-Jones (redshirt)
Martez Ivey (played)
Fred Johnson (played)
Tyler Jordan (redshirt))
Brandon Sandifer (redshirt)

Well they need to get something done because this OLine, except for the returner from last year just plain out sucks.

I read somewhere that Jordan played today.
Yea, I was a bit unsure about him. But even so, we have three true sophomores wilth experience next year and three redshirt freshmen.

Plus at least four other returning lettermen?

Oddly, considering that we aren't even supposed to be 10-1 let alone going to Atlanta, I'm more excited about how the future of this team looks. Soooo much young talent. Just wait until their Juniors.

Summers was receiving a ton of kudos earlier in the year as possibly the best Oline coach in the country. I'm really torn on how I feel about him now, because this line looks absolutely atrocious!

They are flat out soft! It is sad and unacceptable to be man handled by a last place team from a conference no one has ever heard of. I have no optimism for the future of this line, youth is no longer a legitimate excuse. They don't have any dignity at all to play that damn poorly against FAU.

Which is the most important year in UF history for us to field a great team. (See opening opponent)

That's right. If we lose out and finish 10-4 that would be a great season........But, would suck to go out that way after starting so well.
Yep. How one views that depends on the perspective. From pre-season expectation, it is great. But we are on the cusp of something special. I would like to win a few more games

We ARE playing with house money and we HAVE exceeded expectations. That's still no excuse for what we're seeing though. Guys are supposed to get better as they get more experience, the exact opposite is happening. I have NO hope for he future of this line beyond Ivey and Johnson. Sharpe is awful, Dillard is awful, and Riles is awful. Dillard is driven YARDS into the backfield every damn play. That's not a youth problem, that's a you can't play at this level problem. Same with Riles. And Sharpe couldn't keep half this board from blowing by him. And those are guys we were counting on to get better and help anchor the line in the future. They can't play.

To be fair, Sharpe is still nursing a bad leg.

Sharpe is hurt pretty good. He's done well most of the year. His injury is effecting his game a lot. The sad thing is him at 70% is better than anything else we got right now.

Summers is the only reason we are 10-1.

The guy deserves a fracking medal
True words brother...it's frustrating to watch this O Line. ..they are really inconsistent and our QB play has been subpar...kicker?...oh yeah we don't have a kicker...put the new guy in coach!

After all of that. ..it's been an unexpected awesome season. Even if we

Every time I turn around Dillard or Sharpe seems to have gotten blown up, got a penalty or missed an assignment...they are the worst on the line IMO.

Sharpe and Thurman have been our best olineman this year. Sharpe is playing banged up.

I am apparently the only guy who has made the wise decision to ignore the OL individually at this point.

I pretend they aren't there.

Oddly similar to the way defenses view our OL.

UF needs to fine a MEXICAN SOCCER KICKER. We have thousands of them here in Hardee that can kick really well and I'm sure one of these high school kids would love to kick for UF.

And then we could use the money from the fine to recruit one of them to kick for us.

LOL. Wish I could. It's hard to though when we run a simple inside zone play and our center is driven 4 yards into the backfield by a 265 lb. defensive tackle. They find their way into the play one way or another.

We are 10-1. Our offensive line as it stands, had 9 total starts amongst all 5 players at the start of the season, youngest OL in college this year. Did ANY of us actually predict that we'd reach 10 wins in the regular season this year, not to mention locking up The SEC East with a game to spare as well?

As much as our line is giving us woes right now, just be thankful for what it did accomplish for us this year. I'd put just as much blame on Treon as the line. We have a running QB with spotty passing abilities at best who can't/won't run because our coaches are afraid to get him injured and have to resort to #12 Grady.
