Although Florida went out with a thud at the SEC Tournament, by getting swamped by LSU. The defending, reigning and still champions until dethroned UF Gators are again the overall number 1 seed in the upcoming College Baseball Tournament.

Quick little shout ut to any Stetson fans, you got a regional for the first time in your history. Congrats.

Prior to the MSU series, they were the no 1 seed by a mile. The end of their year was so bad, I thought it might cost them the top seed. They still had the best season, but until we see Singer pitch and JJ play, I wouldn’t call them the favorite. That’s great they kept the top seed though, because they’re matching up the supers by seed this year.

Can't ask for a much better opening opening. Columbia got in by beating Yale in the Ivy tournament and had a losing record. Hopefully Singer comes back healthy and beats those nerds!

Wouldn't Sully save Singer for JU - the two seed?

Saving Singer is a reasonable idea. Sully does take some risks with his pitchers, so I could see it. I wouldn't do it though. With the way we're playing, we need a win, plain and simple. Plus you get Singer the best chance to get back and get some good vibes going. Of course this is all presuming that Singer is healthy and ready to pitch on Friday. I just read that he pitched a bullpen session on Saturday and looked good to go.

I don't like taking anything for granted in baseball. Slow playing your ace in the postseason could anger the baseball gods.

Agree with you to a point. However, Columbia is not a very good team, they have a losing record. Conversely, JU beat the Gators - granted it was a mid-week game, but they will walk out onto the field with some confidence.

Sorry, but O'Sul won't go 'coaching decision brain-dead' to settle down your jittery fan nerves...
