Florida State head coach Mike Norvell explained the story behind a viral photo of him with cornrows, which resurfaced among fans and players after he was named FSU's frontrunner. Taken during his time as a wide receiver at Central Arkansas, the photo resulted from a lost bet with an inner-city youth camp group he coached. The group won a game, leading Norvell to get his hair braided as promised. He kept the style for Media Day as a joke. Reflecting on the photo’s resurgence, Norvell used it to teach his team about the lasting impact of social media, quipping that everyone has "a little dog" in them.
