You realize how many times Haiti has had our help and other Caribbean countries help? Why does the Dominican Republic have such a strong border with Haiti?
I’ve been to Haiti. Back in the early 80’s. Under Duvalier.
It is a bit of a 💩hole and most of that is self inflicted damage.

Does the US not understand. The Country is being run by Barbecue and his gang. He got that nickname because he likes to set people on fire and burn them to a crisp. Cannibalism is supposedly happening there.

Do they actually think BBQ is going to help the people of Haiti? LOL

I was there in the late 80s' (US Coast Guard) guarding the ports against civil unrest. The Haitians are filthy animals. I have seen women/children tied to the side of vessels (most of them drowned) while the men were safely in the boat attempting to sneak into American shores.

Go look at google earth down their on that border, and see what a chithole Haiti is, and how much nicer DR is. You can SEE it on google earth

Wife and her very large family are all from DR. Haiti is a shithole. It’s sad really. The land is beautiful and the left is easily manipulated by looking at a photo of a nice beach. That’s where the “nice” ends.

That said, there are areas of DR that are pretty corrupt as well.

Fun Fact: my wifes cousin (Luis Abinader) is currently President in DR. Unfortunately, he is a Socialist.

I just came back from the DR, and barely felt safe going from PUJ to the resort.

Barely. I am never going back, to be very clear. (Lovely people on the resort)

Racism and Castism was clear.

I can only imagine how bad Haiti is. As a white person, I would last less than a day there.

It is no comparison. As bad as the DR is...it does not hold a candle to the chithole which is Haiti. There is more aids and other diseases in haiti per capita than just about anywhere on the planet

This was common knowledge way before Trump entered the political arena and ignorant folks got angry at Trump like he slandered Haiti, haha, if anything calling Haiti a shithole is a compliment.
