Kyle Trask is loyal to a fault. It's refreshing in this day and age. It's the reason he was still here when his turn finally came. Many others would have left long ago.
However, as well as this worked out for him in college, it backfired in high school. It's kind of weird to see the similarities when you look back on it, but in high school he was also in a system with a running QB model, and had D'Eriq King ahead of him. Very rare for a high school to have two future NFL QB's on the roster (King will be in the NFL someday), much less for them to be in the same class. But Trask, rather than moving to a new HS where he would have certainly played and starred, he stayed at Manval and backed up King for 4 years.
Had he transferred, he would have certainly been a 4, possibly 5 star QB.
So if the point you want to make is that recruiting services aren't always right, you need to find a better example than Trask. Let me be clear, there are many many examples of recruiting services getting it wrong.
Perhaps next time you can use Louis Oliver, who was a walk-on at UF that went on to be a two-time All-American and first-round draft choice. That was a guy who started even lower and ascended even higher than Trask.
You really have such a hard-on for Trask. It's a bit disconcerting. We all know you randomly latch on to players from time to time, and you happened to land on Trask for no real reason, as he hadn't played hardly any football for years at that time. But I get it, you managed to be right for once, and you are now milking that for all it's worth. Just remember, you don't get credit for being right once, after all, a broken clock is right twice a day. Try being right about a few more things before you sprain your shoulder (again) patting yourself on the back.
