Measure failed 57-0 with most of the dems refusing to vote at all.
Sheep do you understand why that's important? Same politicians that have convinced you that the world would die in 12 years due to man-made climate change, wouldn't even vote to open DEBATE on a bill that would address all the problems they CLAIM exist.
These politicians just confirmed to you that they know man-made climate change is a hoax. I mean.....@bsc911
@bradleygator @SoProudNole @BoxofFrogs @WorldSeriesChamps2015 you guys ARE smart enough to see that, right?
Don't have any idea why you included me in this topic of yours!
I just like to sit around here in my man cave wearing nothing but
my BVD's and my tin foil hat. Since YOU have brought it up, here
is my two cents on the New Green Deal. I think this NGD is nothing
but a ploy to implement a carbon tax. that carbon tax passed the house
back in 2008 or 2009 i think, but died in the senate. Right here is who
folks best be worrying about. Take it to the bank Shepherd Boy.
"They're Coming" Maybe not in our lifetime but they're coming!
Oh yea, one last thing. Election time is just around the corner so
in my opinion i think the Dems didn't want this GND vote on they're
resume at this moment in time. Maybe after the election they will fine tune it.
"The Green New Deal is sort of an aspirational resolution," said Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., who introduced a similar carbon tax bill in December with former Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz. "I do think putting a price on carbon will end up being a part of whatever the caucus-wide position ends up being."
Rooney and Costello view carbon pricing as the most realistic path for Republicans to support, because of its market-oriented focus on raising the price of carbon-intensive products, encouraging producers to switch to cleaner alternatives if doing so costs less than paying the tax.
"Republicans should really be putting their thinking hats on and saying a carbon tax is the most efficient, least regulatory, least big government way to price coal out of existence and start to lower the amount of carbon in our atmosphere, and warding off worse ideas like the Green New Deal," Rooney said. "It would help our standing with the American people to show our party can do something about climate change without having to go to socialism."
