Thanks for adding an additional metric that shows how unemployment stats are misleading (meaningless).
unemployment benefits are 26 weeks and the Government considers someone out of work for 27 weeks to not be part of the work force any longer. They drop off the stat sheet when their benefits end and are still unemployed.
There are other factors that show that this stat shouldn’t be used by itself to determine health of an economy.
Low unemployment is nice, but it's not the whole story.
