We have to eat on duty sometimes.

If I'm in uniform, I try to bring my food to work with me but it's not always possible.

It is amazing that one would have to ask this question. It is a total shame.

There is a Starbucks near my home in Jax on San Pablo Road. It's on the corner of a busy AF intersection of there and Beach Blvd. The morons who pay 10 bucks for their coffees feel entitled and try to horn their way into traffic leaving that dump. They get no quarter from me. I'm blocking their exit at all opportunity when backed up at the red light. 🤣

I try not to as well. But sometimes it's unavoidable. Sometimes the Sheriff or tour boss says, "let's go to lunch." Sometimes you get called out not expecting to work so you haven't prepared lunch.

In those cases, we have certain LE friendly places where we will go.

Hat tip to you all. I usually have a hard time paying for my lunch if I'm in uniform. And it's usually one of you guys as opposed to the restaurant owner/manager. Thank you.

Bring 'em, you gotta laugh at yourself. I still say, "I smell bacon" when I walk into a room full of co-workers. The younger guys don't get it.
