Seriously the NCAA is a joke...they way that they will punish a player for this kind of thing...they will cripple that person individually...but if a team is caught cheating these days...they pretty much don't do anything anymore. I remember when probation meant you weren't on TV for an entire year. I know that times have changed but unless you have an Sandusky problem then most of the penalties for a program are a joke.
He needs to appeal this and then get an attorney and take this to a Federal Court. I can promise you the Court will over turn the NCAA in a heart beat. The NCAA cannot regulated supplements that are LEGAL. They are regulated under Federal Laws and Policies. Now I know there are some attorneys in the Gator Boosters that needs to step in and represent him and file an injunction.
No repercussions besides being suspended indefinitely? Or are you talking about the QB that was dismissed? Those repercussions?
You guys keep talking about legal vs illegal substances. It's not about that. Nothing that Armstrong allegedly did was illegal but it didn't stop the governing body from stripping his victories.
I think you may be mistaken about Armstrong. Not all peds are OTC, making them illegal to possess. Oxy is "legal', but I highly advise against being in possession without a prescription. ijs
