Feel the same way MJ, if those pick plays were against Florida I would be pissed, but kinda funny to see Bama get screwed for once

Everyone must have been rooting for Clemson, except Bama and USCe fans.

Muschamp's recruiting job just got even more difficult. Five years ago, those programs were roughly on the same level.

lol at bama fans blaming the refs for saying they did everything for them... LMAO

these are REAL HUMAN BEINGS that exist

I dont get it....

The. Stop pretending.

To be fair, that PI at the end of the game did not occur in the endzone.

It shouldn't have been placed at the 2.

The foul occurred at that 2 and the receiver fell into the endzone. Should have been 1st down at the 5 or 6

Bama fans have nothing to cry about, they tackle people and get so many gifts and bounces it's astounding

Dabo is a damn moron, he had the better team and his coaching almost gave it away. First the damn pooch kicks all night...Bama couldn't move the ball at all, drive the ball out the end zone and make them start on the 20 and go the length of the field. Bama kept getting the ball near the 40 and would go 3 and out, punt, and flip the field repeatedly forcing Clemson to have to drive the field. He did it on Bama's last TD drive and gave them the ball damn near at midfield which allowed them to be aggressive, he's very lucky Watson and Williams came up big.

Then on that last drive he burns I don't know how much time with TO's in his back pocket. Then he compounds the problem by spiking the ball when he has TO's, he just gave away a down when he could have stopped the clock at any point. Then the idiot runs a slow developing play with 5 secs left already in FG range that could have ended the game. That ball gets tipped or anything and the game finishes with him holding a TO in his pocket. And don't even get me started on the onside kick at the end...the clock doesn't start until the ball is legally touched so if Clemson's kicker had touched that ball 1 yard earlier Bama would have gotten the ball at midfield with 1 sec left to attempt a hail mary. Why would you not attempt a short kick there or something? A damn on-sides?Clemson won in spite of Dabo. Great recruiter, dumbass coach.

The time management by Clemson was atrocious. Bama should have never had a chance to get the ball back with time end of first half.

I thought so too. A buddy looked up the rule.

"If the ball is snapped inside the 17 yard line and the foul occurs at the 2 or less, the ball is placed at the 2.

In other words, there is never a half the distance mark off for PI. It's either 15 yards or it's a spot foul if it's anything less than 15 yards, even around the goal line."

The call and spot was correct

Posted this in another thread. If true, it is very interesting;

What an utterly nonsensical rule.

Completely arbitrary.

If it occurs inside the 17 within 2 yards of the endzone?

Are we really regulating the game down to that kind of crap?

Prior to watson arriving he was 0-5 against the cocks. People forget that his seat was very warm.

It was hard for me to take Dabo seriously for a long time, because of the way Spurrier would just repeatedly own him in press conferences. The best was when Dabo mistook a tweet from USC's athletic department, that Clemson wasn't a true USC rival, as coming from Spurrier and came completely unglued in his response, sputtering and almost sobbing about Clemson's history and blah blah blah. Spurrier responded with something like "Smart people don't believe everything they read. I guess Dabo must have believed it." Ha Ha.

I saw this on TOS, but someone calculated that Dabo's blue chip (4* and 5*) was something like 50% and Mac is thus far at like 38%. Which demonstrates the fact that blue chip kids are important to land. We also need to see how he does going forward as losing Watson may put Clemson back to reality.

Looks like we could add some nice players down the stretch especially on the OL. And I guess Mac was breaking down the game on a network last night and discussed the advantage of having an athletic QB. Interested to see where we go from here. I am really beginning to question his faith in any of you rsFr or out true incoming frosh

Dabo's early struggles coincided with an atypical period in USCe history, when Spurs took a perennial bottom feeder and coached them up into an upper-tier SEC East team for a few years.

Clemson had a long stretch of 4-6 loss seasons before Dabo arrived. They owned the ACC during 1980s, until FSU showed up and crashed their party for a decade. Dabo has consistently had 10-win seasons since three years into his time at Clemson. It's hard to fire a guy who consistently wins 10 games a year, unless you're Ohio State.

Clemson is patient with their head coaches and dont expect miracles. They gave dabo time and he recruited a nd developed a great qb. He gets credit for it
