Nate Craig-Myers . . .

I was never excited over this guy,. He looks like another DR type to me. Skills, but who needs that.... o_O

I'd rather have 3-4 star guys that are 4.0's off the filed and WANT to be Gators.

Where there's a will,,,
There's a Calla-WAY....

I'm thinking smoke screen. It's one thing for a home state recruit like Diggs opt for the Terps, but what draws a recruit from Florida? Chump could not land elite offensive recruits in Gainesville but could in Columbia? Not buying it.

Maryland has Haskins committed and he's probably the second most popular QB among recruits behind Eason. Durkin also wants to run an open spread offense.

Buuuut I think this is a smokescreen. Don't really care either way because I think Victor, Stove, and Bruce are all better. Unfortunately it doesn't look like either of those three are coming to UF.

It does not seem to be very smart to draw conclusions from one recruit at one point in time?

Like I said in the email, if this little SOB is playing like Dalvin Cook--and I don't care if he's doing it in UF's favor--then I don't want him. He's going to be trouble if he's this kind of attention whore.

You guys are taking this recruiting stuff to serious in December.

Kid looks like a special talent, hopefully he'll reconsider the Good Guys. Just imagine this fella opposite Callaway...D coordinators would have to pick their poison!

He's a silent to the SOW.
;)

Doubt it.

Bowden was the king of dirty tactics, and one of his favorites was to get a kid to privately commit to FSU and public commit to UF then "switch" on signing day, so we would lose out on getting anybody at all, usually for a position of critical need. And Jimbo learned all the tricks at daddy's knee.

However, to publicly commit to USC-E or Maryland? No point to that. I could see pulling that stunt on Clemson, maybe.

89, who are all the kids Bob did that with? Sounds like there were many.

By the time Jimbo got to FSU, Bob had already gone cold on the recruiting trail. Too much work for him. I attribute Jimbo's success in recruiting to his time at SEC schools LSU and Auburn.

There were some. It didn't happen as often as Blobby would have liked, though. There were ones who decided to keep their public word to Florida.

Oh, and the Blobs didn't "go cold" on the recruiting trail. He knew that the NCAA was sniffing around and he didn't want his legacy tarnished, so he tried to recruit without the infamous "FSU parking lot". We all saw how that worked out. This is why he eventually had to be forced out, so FSU could go back to "business as usual".

He got forced out because he became lazy and felt he was bigger than the University. His wife was in tow too. The days of rolling up and saying "ahh schucks we're FSU....sign here" were long gone. Urban helped speed the process along in getting Bob to the door.

JFYI
#2 OG Terrance Davis 6-4 305 announced his Top 3.
His finalist 2-B announced at UA-AA game on Jan 3rd.
UF - Mich - Mary o_O --- Out of consideration are: UA, UGA, UCLA. :p
* This kid would likely start at some point as a tFr at UF. He'd certainly be in the rotation.
===========

As to the 2016 WR recruits:

#6 WR, (#1 JuCo) Udreis 'Dre' Massey 6-0 185 4.35/40 **** EE
(Rec. 21 for 548 yds, 26.1 Ave. yds/rec + 452 yds rushing)

#12 WR Josh Hammond 6-1 179 4.5/40 Fr **** EE
#15 WR Freddie Swain 6-1 177 4.5/40 Fr **** EE
#61 WR Rick Wells 6-0 187 4.6/40 Fr ****

That's four **** WR's, with 3 of them being early enrollees.

Anyone else in this cycle is icing on the cake...

Projected Gator returning WR roster for 2016:

Had to fire the coach that saved FSU from dropping its football program. Plus gave it its first and second NCs.

Such a proud tradition.

stuff happens...Charlie Pell brought the Gators out of 53 years of relative SEC irrelevance to be able to compete for the conference championship in 1984. Fired three games into that championship season.

Sometimes it ain't pretty but it happens.

MJ, I realize you and Bob are close in age. You might actually have him by 4 or 5 years. He did wonders for FSU but eventually it's time to go for everyone. The race gets too quick. I personally can't wait for the race to end for me. Looking forward to my gold watch retirement and a send off to Bozeman. Merry Xmas to you and the locals.

You headed to Montana for retirement?

Older or not, I am a damn sight more cogent. Than him....or you.

But that said, I am just a retired investor, living on a pension.
