Must watch: Doering’s got a Touchdown!

If you ever hung out on South Beach, did you ever go to a small club called “The Spot.” It was just around the corner from Cameo Theater. On nights where it was packed and they were playing funk music, it was as off the hook as any other bar/club sadgator ever visited…

Very rarely do people know what sadgator is talking about when he mentions it…

I recall the Cameo, of course....not THE SPOT, specifically.

There was an old pool hall called THE WHISKEY, I think...liked that place.

The Spot, 218 Española Way, 532-1682: A South Beach fixture, The Spot seems destined to live on forever. Everyone seems to have been here at least once, which explains the bar’s legendary aura. Literally anything goes at The Spot, particularly in the later hours -- the place is too small and too crowded for any strict observance of social etiquette. Dance anywhere you like, dress as grungy as you like, and don’t worry about offending anyone: Everyone is too drunk to notice.
