Hearing from friends of the program finally, they have been very tight lipped up until now.

This is the consistent party line to my direct question of, "how bad is it, are we talking lack of institutional control here?"

"No lack of institutional control"
"Nothing more than what every other school does"
"Only major issue is the Saunders/Vaugh act/stuff"
"Hopefully it wont be to bad since most was under Nutt/Boone"

Basically they are saying most of this occurred before Freeze/Bjork got there. This is not anything they have not been saying for a while now.

What I find interesting is that they have "self imposed" the loss of 11 scholarships over 5 years, 3 a year over the next 2 years. That's actually a pretty big deal for a self imposed loss of scholarships even though it may not sound like a lot, but a school to do that on its own says something about what they found and what they are trying to avoid.

I suspect, don't know, but suspect the NCAA may come down on them even harder based off of what I know prob. went on, but we shall see. I'm likely never going to get more than the party line from my "friends of the program" sources b/c they have inhaled the kool-aid.
