With the addition of Bogle and Elam, our 2019 class is one of the better all around classes we have signed in a long long time. Elam trolled Georgia haha. They thought they had a legit chance at him. Mullen and staff did a great job at working with Black and Henderson to get them academically eligible. Our secondary is going to be scary good next year. With Marco and Henderson back on the corners. Trey dean with a year of experience, Kaiir Elam, Chris Steele, jaydon Hill. Mullen has to be jittery to start spring practices. Zuniga and Bogle are going to eat! It’s great to be a Florida Gator

Need a guru to tell me if I am off base, but I think one of the keys to running the 3-4 is supposed to be a man mountain at NT that clogs the middle and takes up 2 blockers.

Well, perusing the commits list, I noticed one of our incoming OT is a 390 pound guy.

If this guy has good enough feet to play Otackle, he might be an amazing NT. Just thinking out loud...

I don't think there is any way we get bumped out of the top 10 in either Rivals or the Composite now. If Penn State gets Cross later that would put as at # 10 in Rivals and no lower than 10th in the composite.

And really doesn't matter much to me at this point. The 6-10 teams are literally within 1 player of being the same. I think we finished 7th in terms of player rating and one kid isn't going to change that much.

I'd like to sign Cross just to stick it to FSU lol but that's just vanity talking.

Lizard City,

your thoughts & mine in parallel !

Back on Dec 21, 2018 I posted this thread "How Much Does Ethan White Weigh - Can he play Nose Tackle ?"

Have seen several height / weight listings on Ethan.

The signing day capsule from Rivals -
Height/Weight: 6-foot-5, 350 pounds

Signing day capsule from another site claims -
6-foot-5, 375-pounds

A third site in an article on our 10 early enrollees states -
"...Ethan White, who Florida lists at an eye-popping 390 pounds."
Wondering when UF will release "official" height / weight data ?

Also wondering if he could shift to nose tackle and be the "plug" we are looking for in the middle ?

Hoping that Nick Savage will work his Magic with Ethan !

Didn't get good responses then. Still think it makes sense; especially if
Ga tech's Parker Braun becomes a Graduate Transfer at OG to Florida

I'm fine with being second to think of it. Heck, I hope I'm third, behind you and Mullen/Grantham/Savage.

Mullen is making all the right moves. I've said it before but he's building a F<'&ing Monster. After 1 season I couldn't have Fathom'd that things could have been so much different and all positive.

Some of you FOOLS come around here talking about Mullen at MS State compared to at UF. Same guys won't be in this board in the next year or two at most. #gators

Recruiting is fun and all, but sadgator has real life struggles to deal with here...

I'd give you advice with your problem, but sorry, In my 44 years of blissful marriage, I've never experienced what's troubling you.

All I can say is we (UAA) might have to dig deep and increase the salaries of the coach and assistants if we don't want a repeat at the end of 2019 where other SEC teams are trying to poach our guys. Not too butt hurt about losing the underperforming Warren to UGLY and Sal Sunseri to Alabama could go either way, an upgrade or downgrade for us in the end, but we can't face this again next year. Keeping some consistency in the coaching staff is also going to help develop those long term recruiting relationships.

Clempson's assistants make over a million $ right now, and for good reason. It was only 20 years ago or so when Spurrier getting 3.4 million a year as head coach was big news in The SEC and many head coaches he was against were making 1mil or under. It is an arms race, make no mistake, and coaching staffs are every bit the investment that facilities are for necessary victories.

Been saying it for years.
