The liberals are SHITTING THEMSELVES over this!
She's doing the same thing Trump is a master at: Engaging in behavior in order to make the lefties tell on themselves.
Basically what she is saying is "Red states don't share values or morals with Blue states anymore. So let's let Red states run the policies they want, and blue states can run the policies they want'.
If dems believed in their policies, they would JUMP at this.
Instead, they are melting down. That proves that they know that RED STATES HAVE TO PAY FOR BLUE STATE POLICIES.
If Blue states had to be held accountable to their own policies, they would die.
Red states are all that's keeping America alive. I think MTG just suggested we pull the plug on the deadweight in this country.

Davis also used the Tenth Amendment as a justification for secession. Since the Constitution did not give the federal government any powers to regulate secession (in fact, the Constitution made no mention of secession whatsoever), the Tenth Amendment must grant the power of secession to the states.

The SCOTUS has reversed field on many issues. It is not a given that the 10th Amendment is dead, much like Roe V Wade is not settled science either, that power is ceded to the states again. The Civil War decided nothing. The federal government is doing it's damnedest to repeal the 1st and 2nd Amendments themselves.
For any of you history buffs, Lincoln didn't actually care about slavery, his main purpose was to preserve control of southern agriculture, cotton was just one of the things. He sent private cables to Jefferson providing that slavery would be tolerated if the rebellion was over. Davis told him to shove it up his ass. The Civil War wasn't about slavery, it was a small token part of it that the history rewriters like to virtue signal over time. The Emancipation Proclamation was done to fire up the abolitionists and Jacobins (look that one up) into volunteering to join the Union army. The South came very close to invading Washington and forcing a treaty. The South didn't invade the north, the planned attack on the Capitol was a last resort to effectively end the invasion and strike a peace.

What happens if this divorce takes place, do these states stay as is? Meaning, the color is permanent, right? Or would they transition if state government shifts from one color to the other? Did I miss something?
The reality is, dem policies need taxpayers from red states to fund them. A country made up of blue states funding and running dem policies would die in a decade.

I think what MTG is talking about, ultimately, is about increased federalization. Push decision making down to the states. Trying to convince Team Blue to embracing a pro-life posture is as frought with failure as Team Red embracing gun bans.

A few paths...keep going down the road to tyranny via the left(not on my list), Convention of States to put the national gubmint in a small box (my preference) , or a blue/red state separation while still remaining a country (MTGs actual proposal and second on my list), or outright dissolution (third on my list but preferable to the current state of governance).
The latter is where we may be headed and I believe SCOTUS would allow it.
