More leftys converting

I am really excited to see the new polling, esp in swing states
Illegal third world immigration, leads to 3rd world results such as the NY Trial.

People in the middle are starting to see it. It's less about Trump and far more about how "off the cliff" (Bill Maher's term) the left has become.

Bill Maher predicted an Election Day defeat for President Biden, despite reiterating his support for the president, telling tech journalist Kara Swisher that former President Trump is likely to rally enough support for a second term.

“I would vote for [Biden’s] head in a jar of blue liquid over Donald Trump, but that doesn’t mean that I’m — first of all, I think it’s a moot point at this point. He’s going to f‑‑‑ing lose,” Maher told Swisher on an episode of his podcast.

FJB will have a historic loss. He CANNOT run on HIS record. Have you heard ANY of those losers talking about the good they have done for America. Even the little snowflakes that come around here CANNOT compare records...they just hate Trump. They are SO STUPID. Election day WILL BE GLORIOUS!!

Leftist's don't convert, they have moments of sanity and then fall back into their delusions of liberal hegemony.

Do we have any true independents here or just some hard core leftys identifying as independents to apparently make themselves feel better about themselves?
Lefty's love to identify as different "things" all the time. Just part of their schtick.

I tend to agree.

I don't believe it's mental illness as much as a strange engrained lens they view the world through.

I can't say I understand it, but to me they're filling some sort of ideological hole created by something (guilt for success, childhood trauma, parental priorities?) coupled with a STRONG desire to 'fit in' and be accepted by the perceived majority that makes them feel like they have to accept anything. They also have a strong desire to prostrate themselves to higher powers - like climate and health "experts" and gov't officials.

That's why they love calling anyone who disagrees with them a "cult member", because that's how they see it. They have the backing of the "experts" (like Fauci), the government (which they believe wants the best for the people) and a plurality of voters...ergo anyone who doesn't conform is operating on some fringe belief system with no backing. When it gets extreme they put very few limits on what can be done to stop the "cult" and get everyone on the same page...which is why the lawfare being foisted upon our political system is perfectly fine with them.

It's the same mentality that led to what happened in 1930's Germany.

I think he is. Actually starting to lean a bit right seeing who is running.
He's a smart guy.

Tries way too hard to play the middle, but he's capable of seeing the bigger picture and (most of the time) sees through BS arguments.

The difference between then and us is...they do NOT love America...we do. Politics outweigh their desire for America to do good. I know this to be true

Many people that like the middle do. they see themselves as free thinkers, and do not like to be associated with "group" thinking. One thing we can agree on...one sharp cat.

I don't know if it's they don't love it. they just think it's wrong, and wrong foundationally.

They want to change it to better fit their world view.

Conservatives think that the Representative Republic, with Separation of Powers/Checks and Balances, has created the most successful political experiment in recorded history.

One wants to "conserve", the other dismantle and "progress" into something new.

Obama said it. Wanted to "fundamentally" change this country. He didn't listen for 20 years to Rev Wright spewing hate for America for nothing.

I actually agree with you, and what you are saying agrees with me. They would not want to change it if they loved it. Because America is NOT theirs to change.

One side believes in Capitalism(us) and one side believes in socialism/fascism (them). One side believe in American exceptionalism...one side believes America has never been great, and are ruled by white people who really are the worst people on earth. One side cannot tell the difference between a MAN and a WOMAN...one side knows it does not matter HOW MUCH you enjoy playing pretend gender..God ONLY MADE MAN...and WOMAN. And putting on the others clothes does NOT change your gender.

Agree
1) Socialism has two key roots for Liberals. The first is the trust in govt over the individual. If individuals can’t make the best decision about how to consume and produce the govt has to step in and do it “right”.
The other side is equity. Liberals believe any difference in outcome is due to some inequity, like race. If everyone gets the same we “right that wrong”.

2) The hate for America is a brainwashing operation that took decades to ingrain. Usually they use slavery but they’ll also point to unequal outcomes that most often happen in liberal bastions. But you can’t tear down and rebuild a system that people don’t hate.

3) The gender issues are related to breaking down institutions that make a country stronger. They want to reallocate the racial makeup of the country and bring in more people that both know socialism and have no skills to take care of themselves and need the govt. So you break down the family unit, chemically castrate and mutilate children and make reproduction impossible. Inflation is another part of this - if kids are too expense people won’t have them. If marriage doesn’t offer many benefits (don’t want kids, what’s the point) the nuclear family even further breaks down.
