Mordecai McDaniel

Mullen really has the recruiting coming together not just in terms of quality but in terms of roster balance. Add Tae Williams to the mix and our safety problems should be good moving forward. OL recruiting is another great spot this year.

It'll be fun to see who the last 3-4 recruits are after ESD.

This is a VERY good win, not so much for the kid himself and saving him from that dumpster fire of a disaster program, but the fact that we are finally ending the whole negative recruiting that our competitors have used against us for many years now. Especially during the butterteeth years, the other SEC schools would heavily negative recruit against us, telling all the kids that we are circling the drain, Florida has problems, NCAA probation imminent, and flat out making up lies and such just to make sure we can't recruit at a higher level.

Dan Mullen is shattering that finally, and we all recognized that from the start. Recruiting wasn't going to improve no matter what you did on the road if the first couple seasons weren't really positive. A 9 and 10 win regular season with back to back trips to NY6 bowls is about as positive as it damn well gets, and that's a major selling point on the recruiting trail. So is keeping our assistant coaches this year as I haven't heard so far that we've lost any. Stability matters as does results on the field.

We lose a ton of guys and talent with this year's outgoing class, but luckily the incoming class seems to be really stocking up for the future as next year will heavily depend on Dan Mullen's first 2 classes to finally provide the majority of playing hours.

Get an easy top 10 team this year, close to a top 5, and another good season on the field next year, and we could be primed to haul in a top 3 class in 2021.

A real nice safety get. Can also play CB or WR if needed there.

#15 CB/FS Mordecai McDaniel 6-1 195 **** - 204/247 - Washington, DC
17 Offers: Final-5 UF -TN-ND-PSU-UA, Tn initial commit - UF flip.

247 Eval -- Ideal frame with wide shoulders and muscular build. Has top-end speed. Excellent athlete. At best when playing downhill. Physical at point of contact. Drives toward line of scrimmage well. Can stack and shed. Possesses closing speed. Comfortable blitzing off edge. Can open hips and change direction. Kick returner ability. Tightening technique needed against pass and run. Needs to work on tackling. Often leads with shoulder rather than wrapping up. Improvement with reaction time. Footwork needs tightening. More consistency needed in play recognition. Multi-year starter at Top 20 program. Late round NFL draft potential. -- 55M 6.54

I don't expect him to be a Fr starter, but he might play some, and he can work into a starting position as time goes by...

GBO,

Hoping a certain legacy RB (E J Smith) has noticed Joshua Braun & Issiah Walker our latest OT commits.

Word is that Walker is also an EE & he will join Joshua Braun in Orange Bowl practices.

Yep things are always fluid until kids sign but looking still for:

1 true DT - Smith flip or Pinder flip
1 RB - Parrish or Smith
1 WR - Henderson would be LEGIT but he's probably Clemson bound

maybe 1 other if they are a great fit/talent but Mullen usually likes a spot or two for transfers

Probably Sam Brown as WR instead of Hendo.

Last Transfer at the DE position from Louisville was pretty good!
