I tried to take a wait and see approach on all this before saying much. Probably a big combination of frustration, irritation, sadness and frustration.

I think ultimately this hurts us more from a morale standpoint than anything. I think most of us finally felt some positive coming from gator football which hasn't happened since probably LSU in 2012 or maybe FSU. It just felt like most of it was pulled away from us.

I think realistically we are fine. A national title this year might have been far fetched. I still like our chances for the east, a win against FSU and a quality bowl. Sign me up. Fact is Treon and Grier were close in camp. I think Grier can do some things Treon can't but ultimately Treon is a real quality player that if coached properly with this defense can accomplish the above. It was awesome watching Grier grow as I think he has great potential.

I am really curious the demeanor of the team. I hope they don't feel how we do. Hopefully they feel determined and like under dogs again.

With regards to Grier, I think he just made a dumb mistake. I generally think it's either knowingly doing something wrong or idiotically not knowing. I look at pictures of him and his father and think they know supplements. I just can't get my head wrapped around how this crime matches this punishment. One year for a substance you can buy at GNC? It seems like illegal substances and domestic violence get less. And I'm pissed again.

A win this weekend would go so far for gator nation to keep the faith and momentum going. I hope the guys still believe.
