I just watched the all-star game MS vs Alabama i had recorded last week and to be honest McPherson is not looking great. I expected him to have a strong leg but I am not seeing it. He is not putting his kickoffs in the end zone and if I remember correctly one of his kicks didn't get pass the 20. As for punting he doesn't have great hang time nor did his kick travel very far in the air.
In the 2nd quarter the Alabama team lined up for a 51 yarder and he missed short by 5 or 6 yards. His next couple punt were decent for about 40 yards but it was kind of low. I know this is just one game so he might just had an off night. I hope he is not like the last highly rated kicker we got a couple of years back that struggled during an all American game.
Hopefully we will bring in a couple more kicker walk ons just in case
