In just a single decade we went from a democratic party being larger to a Republican party being larger with a total realignment of what they stand for.

Think his great it would be for the country if the democrats would moderate and compete. Imagine how good it will be when the corporate media is a thing of the past. What will happen to the already failing media when trump runs the upper echelons of the administrative state out of town. Who will anonymously leak to the press? All gas, no brakes on the agenda.
Democrats coming back towards the middle would be great, but I’m not sure it’s possible anymore. They’ve been pandering to their far left extremist way too long and they lost the middle ground to the Republicans.
I think the mainstream media is in for a massive overhaul. Several reporters are saying they just can’t cover another four years of Trump and I think the networks will be more than happy to let them go and move towards the middle again. It’s already happening in multiple newspapers Because people bought those newspapers that care about subscriptions and told their reporters they’re not allowed to endorse a candidate. Several of them quit. Good riddance. Let’s get some objective journalist back in journalism.
I watched the NYT give their opinion writers a forum on TikTok for what happened. It’s an unending stream of neo-Marxist, identity politics, luxury belief, LGBTQ+ thought and perspective.
The writing is elegant which I appreciate, but these are increasing cloistered elites who take their political and Philosophical cues from their gender study and Marxist philosophy classes.
for decades now, colleges have become increasingly culturally isolated from mainstream America. They become little micro universes where people that could not necessarily survive in mainstream America can thrive in these isolated worlds where their viewpoints become not only mainstream, but lauded as unique and progressively intelligent. It’s a place where people that don’t fit in fit in. So they stay there. Taking the jobs that might’ve once gone to professors that are a little more mainstream. Pushing the education and the culture even further into these extremes and then teaching the next generation that this is normal.
Far too many of these people actually hate America because they never really fit into America in the first place.
Now this may be an oversimplification, and it certainly doesn’t represent everybody in academics, but there’s a great deal of validity to this. And they send out a generation of young minds corrupted with this thought process. And they either have to find jobs that embrace this, which the legacy media has become, or they become unindoctrinated through years of hardship as they relearn how to fit into society and have real jobs.
You have to hope that the legacy media will at least shake loose from some of this and get back to being what they’re supposed to be, they’re supposed to report the news and investigate and keep corrupt people on their toes and help Americans know what’s going on. Instead, they’ve taken on the roleof educators as though as their job to teach all of us ignorant people why being an American is bad and, in their minds, on American, which is the exact opposite.
