Wow you all blame one penalty on a loss....The lame duck defense gave up 38 points. C'mon it was evident all season the defense is young and they just gave up too many points every game. UF needs a better DC because this guy doesn't get the job done. He allowed 38 points and LSUs offense is trash, pure thrash. Don't blame Wilson for the loss, blame where the loss should go.
I’m pretty sure that garbage goes on at practice and the coaches let it go and no one says a word. The lack of discipline and the selfishness look at me attitude the players have and are allowed to have is the culture and atmosphere of a program.
Mullen & Co. did a terrible job getting this team ready to play and called a terrible game. Trask did not play well, even though piling up tons of yardage. Marco Wilson has been bad all year in coverage and just committed one of the stupidest, bone-headed acts I've ever seen from an athlete in any sport at any time. That was inexcusable. LSU played their hearts out with their best 2 WR's and TE no longer playing, their top DB out, another good DB getting ejected, another hurt, very few back-ups anywhere and a freshman QB starting his first game. They only brought 54 players and lost a few during the game, but played harder and smarter than our guys and deserved to win the game. Even though I've believed all along our chances against Alabama were very poor, the loss tonight to a depleted, bad LSU team whose only wins before tonight were against, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Arkansas was just pathetic. I hope Mullen, Grantham, Johnson and Wilson all get blasted in the media and by fans because they and the team as a whole, deserve it. This was a pure crap performance anyway you look at it and the Wilson move just capped it all off.
I think Trask just lost his shot at the Heisman. Seems like one of the Bammers, Jones or Smith, is the winner. My money is on Smith.
Trask won’t even be top 3. This team will be embarrassing next week. Bama will run at will and Wilson will get burned repeatedly.
The defense actually gave up 27 points. 7 of LSU's points came on a pick 6 and 3 more came at the very end of the 2nd quarter after the Trask fumble with a few seconds left. But your point is valid about the defense. Our defense has sucked all year. Some blamed Davis for the Texas A& M loss because without the fumble, we were driving for the winning score, although the defense still had several chances to stop TAM and get the game to OT. Tonight, the defense had done it's job by forcing a 4th and long, except the Wilson move gave them the first and another chance. Even then, the defense could have held up and kept them from getting into FG range. Their guy made a 57 yarder, ours missed a 51 yarder. Personally, I hold Wilson more accountable tonight than I did Davis for TAM. Fumbles happen, ripping a shoe off and throwing it downfield should never happen or be written off without blame and consequences, IMO.

Mullen definitely cost Trask the Heisman tonight. And so did Marco Wilson. No one will be able to talk about Trask leading the team down the field to win. Instead the storyline is about Marco throwing a shoe and losing the game and costing UF a shot at a national title. All Marco had to do was not throw someone else’s shoe and Trask would have had the ball with 1:30ish left to go win the game. Mullen and Marco owe Trask an apology and probably some money out of their wallets.
Football mistakes are different. They happen. Throughout the game
This specific act was non football, an after the play selfish taunt that went so far beyond the refs had to call it. It was going to be a punt.
This I am smarter than you and won’t look to one okay when so many other players were bad doesn’t work here

Give up a net 4 turnovers, which counts Wilson’s play and Alabama wins big. Even on LSU’s earlier drive we had a third down PI which is almost like a turnover but is a FOOTBALL mistake.
A perfect storm. Don’t throw the pick six and the near goal line first half interceptions and all the talk of LSU heart means shit. Mistakes kept them in the game and they kicked a 57 yard FG to win by a nose

Alabama is going to beat you like a drum. Nick Saban teams don’t lose focus. When they lose its to special QBs and teams. Trask has been great but tonight he was not special against a terrible LSU team that I think we could beat. If you keep the game under 21 points you should count that as a moral victory. They have more heart and talent than you.
This offense is explosive. The offense will show up. The defense is exactly what we knew it was. Not even pedestrian. We have a couple of players on D with heart and talent. They do not reside in the secondary.
I'm still pissed about Mullen holding out Pitts. There were several big plays where Pitts goes and gets a ball, and keeps the offense moving. Those other tight ends are very good, but Pitts is a man amongst boys. He wears a cape., and will probably be a top 10 draft choice.
Marco Wilson....lol....oh well.
Maybe Bama will take us lightly next week and we can throw it everything at them.
