etc.. and running out of new formations, more out of shotgun than they ever do and none of that same other crap from pistol and straight toss backs. Their staff is doing what they were murmuring about wanting to do now without Miles, with the way our DL is right now and how awful the staff was the last few weeks and lifeless.. If they don't get their s*** together LSU is going to have Davis and Anzalone blowed to hell and back in the open field chasing everyone by the mid 2nd quarter.

If they want any chance offensively Del Rio is playing there's no questions, even if he can't you cant put Appleby back out there.. you can see the driskel smell on his breath and the treon in his eyes, he's awful ill keep it plain and simple and nice, but he is.. Play calling, miserable and exactly what we were watching with the last staff, run with no creation obviously for losses with no plan and zero blocking, even if there was teams know when the run is coming and nothing is being checked off. They look exactly like the last 3 games last year for the last 6 quarters on offense and that's scary.. If Del rio can't go im sorry but you have to try to work in one of the other guys because you KNOW what you are getting from this QB against a defense as good as LSU's.. and that is NOTHING but negative.

Literally the entire season is on the line next week and why do I have the feeling that our staff will do nothing and change nothing like last year? Oh that's because we have already seen this, Del Rio better actually be decent or this year, recruiting and Mac are gonna start getting stale REALLY fast. It's already happening

and no matter what happens both coordinators have to go, whether you have to just move Shannon to DC from within or have more influence whatever it is ,that's gotta happen... that's even more important than the OC right now because we still have no QB play so we still can't tell long term how bad it is with an offensive minded head coach.. but on defense, im telling you right now we now know what we have, and it's not good enough. With our recruiting now, our calling card is starting to go to hell now which was my biggest fear and we will lose a lot of talent on this years roster for next year.. and with Collins running the same nonsense on defense bend but don't break crap, he will get us beat at least 3 times a year from his scheme alone. Every time we blitzed today other than once they had no chance, but he's sitting there in 3 man fronts on obvious run downs and playing DB's off the ball with OUR secondary? That's trash, with our offensive woes if our defense becomes the same scheme as other teams around the country we will be doomed.

Unless this is one of those games we play out of our minds or LSU just comes out flat it is going to be a bloodbath with our undersized D line and train wreck of an offense. I would have felt almost the same even if Ivie wasn't injured. The heat is going to be turned up big time on McElwain after this game unless he pulls a mini miracle off. I bet Mac subtly bad mouths our chances this week as he knows what is coming most likely.

The only good thing about this game may be it shines the light on Collins some. I don't think he was the right hire either.

I also don't think Del Rio is much of an upgrade but we will see against LSU I guess. He won't be playing North Texas any longer. I am against Franks being fed to the wolves however no matter how bad it gets. Throwing Franks to the wolves as a true freshman may affect him mentally going forward with the train wreck out there. The offense should be better next season even though the defense is heading down fast.

Am I missing something? LSU sucks. They blew out Missouri, big deal. Don't know why everyone is so afraid of them. They still don't have a QB that's any good.

When you can rush for over 400 yards and 6 TDs without Fornette, you don't need a great Q/B.

Our D line wont hold up against that and now they have gotten a little more creative with their scheme now that Miles is gone. Heck we couldn't even stop Fournette when we had a D line with some nice size. Its college football so anything can happen but everything right now points to LSU destroying us Saturday.

Agree with a lot of what numbers has said...

The last thing our coaches, team, fans, and program need right now is a blowout loss at home...and that looks like what we are gonna get.
The contrast is so stark it makes me want to puke. We can Chump 1.5 years ago and Vandy is still controlling the LOS in games where we are held to under 300 yards and 14 points. LSU cans Miles 5 DAYS before a game and they hang 42 and 600+ on Mizzou.

Un-fvcking-believable.

And before anyone mentions our injuries,

1. Everyone has injuries

2. It was VANDY

Ed Orgeron is still their interim HC, right? Let me check real quick.... yep. So no, not afraid. That guy is an imbecile. Stop overreacting to one game, they've been dog poo for most of the season, and this was probably the result of them being fired up to play for a new HC more than anything.

Brutha, you are about to get a serious dose of reality.

LSU is not a very good team, sorry, and Ed Orgeron is a complete joke of a HC, always has been, but yes, let's overreact because they finally played halfway decent for the first time all season!

I like the enthusiasm but that must be some strong stuff you are smoking. If anything I think LSU will be a little more dangerous now because he is letting them change up the predictable schemes on offense and that is even if the passing doesn't improve a lot.

If we cannot control the LOS against Vanderbilt, why should I expect any different against LSU....who has bigger and faster athletes than Vandy? I know it's college football and anything can happen, but objectively speaking why should I expect our offensive line to handle LSU's defensive front any better than they have the previous 5 opponents?

On the flip side, I want to wait and see who beyond Ivie is out from our defensive line.

LSU already has two losses, one of them to a flat out average at best Auburn team, and has looked pitiful for most of the season. They barely got by a bad MSU team as well. Granted, that was with Les Miles as HC, but seriously, Ed Orgeron is a mumbling buffoon. Anyone who thinks that idiot is going to come in to Gainesville, with a team that flat out isn't that good, and blow Florida out, is dreaming. I'm not saying we'll win, but they aren't going to "dominate" anything. Missouri is terrible. We blew out Kentucky, you don't see me overreacting to that win.

Dude...Vandy out gained us yesterday.

In 5 games played this season, we have looked like sadgator had hoped we would in only one and a half of them...Kentucky (and first half of Tennessee). Other than that, we have pretty much sucked as bad as we did under Muschamp.

We are really terrible.

So is LSU. They've literally played well in one game all season, yesterday. And Ed Orgeron, at the end of the day, is still their head coach. They might win the game, but they aren't going to blow us out. They simply aren't good enough to do that, sorry.

I will just say wait until Saturday. I know anything is possible in college football but I am pretty certain we are about to get a rude awakening. The lines of scrimmage are not even close. Auburn actually has a pretty stout heavy D line unlike us.

Yeah I'm not quite so sure what the concern is over LSU. They are an average football team just like we are. It's on our home field.

We need to get Del Rio back but this is going to be a close game. Not sure who wins but its going to be a close game.

I watched LSU struggle and lose to an average Auburn team and I watched them struggle against an average Miss St. team.

LSU is just average team. Just like us.

If Del Rio is healthy that will make a world of difference. He's much better than Appleby because he knows the offense, makes better reads, makes better decisons and can make audibles.

Hopefully Tyler Jordan returns and our Dline gets healthy.

LSU isn't average, not from a talent standpoint anyway. They are loaded which is why Miles was fired for losing those two games. All they needed was for someone to open up the offense and get some good QB play. It's only one game but Orgeron at a minimum took the handcuffs off the offense and allowed them to showcase their talent. If that carries over they'll be a tough out.

Their starting QB is a transfer from Purdue. He's not a good QB. Yes they have talent but Miles has been a head coach for a long long time for a reason. The Ogre has not.

Their offense isn't going to change that much. They are going to run, run and run some more. That is who they are right now.

By the way it is college football. Parity is as rampant as ever in the sport. Anything can happen.

I disagree with this. Their are 4-5 teams who are in a different level than everyone else IMO. And outside Clemson they ALL have elite HBCs. Harbaugh, Peterson, Meyer, Sban and Petrino

Isn't that exactly what parity is? A few elite teams and a bunch of teams that can win or lose on any Saturday. That is the exact description of parity to me.

This.

Orgeron is great at firing up the troops. So for a home night game against a not very good team, wow. But a road game at noon in Florida? Not so much.

Vegas must know we are getting Del Rio back because the only glimmer of hope I see right now is that LSU is only favored by 1.5...

While the Gators will still be starting either Claribel 1 or 2....

Only hope as I see it is this. Our defense plays way outside of themselves and holds LSU to under 200 rushing yards, and for a vast change, our offense gets our kicker in FG range 6-8 times in the game....
