LB is a position to keep an eye on this spring and for next year.

With Xavier Peters now headed to FSU, looks like UF missed on a top ILB prospect (sounds like grades might be an issue though). Our LB play was not great last season and it seems to me that position is one that needs a serious influx of talent, particularly now with the switch to a 3-4 defense.

In my opinion the hire of the former grad assistant Robinson as our LB coach left something to be desired as that position was a weakness, and if it was done for recruiting purposes then obviously it has not yet paid dividends. He may well end up being great - but its a question mark.

I assume the new David Reese is going to play ILB, and if the rumors about Andrew Chatfield are true, then he would be more of a pass rushing OLB.

That said, here are a few questions heading forward:

1. Where do the LB starters from last year fit into Grantham's scheme?
2. How good are the freshmen LBs that missed last year and where do they fit?
3. Who is left on the LB board that we realistically have a shot at?
