It’s interesting that the Dems seem set to try to run Biden. I thought it was a foregone conclusion that either his obvious mental deterioration or his blatant corruption would force the Dems to run someone else but it seems like after a few weeks of speculation about Newsome replacing him, everybody is squarely back behind Biden.
I actually thought that was why some of the Hunter stuff was starting to get traction, that maybe Dems realized there was no way Biden was going to be viable by mid 2024, but it seems like we’re back to blissful ignorance on that one.

I agree, I'd have expected it to happen sooner. I think it's possible they're concerned about the uncontrollable RFK starting to get some traction. He's making appearances on places like Rogan's podcast.
Or perhaps some behind the scenes polling on Newsome was really bad...I wouldn't be shocked, Californians are leaving in droves.
Either way, Biden trying to campaign with the Hunter stuff out there is insane (let alone his mental capacity). The truth is like a beach ball underwater, eventually it finds its way to the surface.
I think their ONLY hope is something really, really bad happens to Trump.
The Hunter stuff is already as obvious as it can be. They’re just going to ignore it. Media’s on board and so is the legislative branch apparently. Dems never even mention it. That’s how you know they know they’re nailed to the wall on that one, so they’re just not even going to discuss it. I think they are going to make it very hard for trump to run. They will try to disqualify him. It obviously doesn’t matter how many indictments they hang on him. If he’s on the ballot the people who are going to vote for him will vote for him. And that will be a mix of his supporters and just normal people who realize that the current structure is complete BS. If you know a train is headed over a cliff, it’s preferable to derail the train.
I honestly hope they throw Trump in jail.

Media used to have their talking points on Hunter: it’s the story of a father’s love! He’s not going to turn his back on his addict son! Obviously all ridiculous. The guy is out there openly selling US policy to China and Ukraine. Now they don’t even talk about it. How can an administration just not address testimony from Hunters business partner that they were selling access to Joe while he was VP? How can the press not make them answer the question? That’s how you know they’re just going to cross their fingers and grit their teeth and try to force this guy through another election.
As far as Newsome and Buttigieg, it’s documented that they poll at 1 percent when they run. They all do, except maybe warren, Bernie and now RFK JR. But they don’t want those guys running because they ask too many questions. Kamala also a disaster and Joe’s best insurance policy for the rest of his term.
But you could see that they were trying to set the stage for some kind of transition. Kamala came out against the DeSantis slave curriculum stuff and got her best coverage in 3 years and all of a sudden Newsome was everywhere. But seems like that momentum evaporated. I wonder if they will try to run Biden as far into the election as possible and then have him bow out for health and then be like: vote dem or vote trump.

Yeah I agree. It’s funny because I’m on a bunch of group chats and you kind of know where everyone is on the political spectrum. And I’ve noticed that the more moderate ones (which I include myself in) are saying: how can you indict Trump 3x and nobody says boo about Hunter? And these are guys who regularly bash trump. And the lefties are just silent.

Just heard today on the radio that the Jan 6 Committee deleted/destroyed some of the "evidence" they collected (must be anything they found that they didn't like), so know in preparation for his Trial, Trump's attorneys won't have any of it.

Using Biden's linear logic...his grandchildren are protected by Secret Service. Many members of the Secret Service have military and combat experience.
Essentially Joe's grandchildren have combat experience.
