Fenner became an FSU legend on Oct. 8, 1966 when he caught a 45-yard pass from quarterback Gary Pajcic in the front right corner of the north end zone at Campbell Stadium with 17 seconds left and Florida leading 22-19. Official Doug Moseley ruled Fenner out of bounds, extinguishing FSU's last chance for an upset.

I'll enjoy a little UF hate before we get are collective arses handed to us in Doak on Saturday.

Fenner could have been a hero if he'd only been able to make that catch.

It's funny, in a pathetic kind of way, that FSU listed the score in their record book as if he'd made the catch and FSU won.

Incorrect. Catch made.

Correct (if true)

A tough break. Yep looking at the stills he looks to be in bounds. Looking at the video I think that trailing ref may have got his view blocked by the Gator DBs going down at the same time and since Fenner slid over the out of bounds line it made him think the catch wasn't in bounds.

Poor guy has probably had nightmares about his failure. And I'm sure the Noles have reminded him about it.
Actually, the exact opposite. Lane has intentionally avoided the spot light (including interviews) for most of his life. He granted ONE interview over 20 years ago under the agreement they wouldn't disclose where he lived. He moved on from football after one year in the NFL and never looked back.

Poor guy went into hiding just like poor Erica Kinsman. FSU fans can be brutal.

I think we should also bring up the swindle in the swamp.. Still the most one sided game ever officiated.

Erica didn't go into hiding. She cashed in then, believe it or not, married the dude she had sex with on the infamous night in question before trying to cheat on him with some footballers.

Anyone ever want to know the truth, grab a 6-pack, and read this novel. I pretty much guarantee that only Nole fans have read it...everyone else made up their mind from get go:

Most exhaustive analysis you'll ever find: https://hashtagfacts.wordpress.com/2014/10/20/jameis-winston-chapter-3-sexual-assault-accusation/

Right, Nole fans have been very open minded from the beginning.

“Hey, maybe he did it” said no Nole fan ever.

I'm sure all of Meyer's kids were choir boys. Seriously, though, read it and read it without Orange and Blue lenses. I remember after the Clemson game all the gator posters on here praising Winston (with ozie leading the charge) and as soon as that convenient story broke it was a 100% "he's guilty" shift just because there was an accusation and he was a rival QB. So, it kinda goes both way, ya know.

Hell, I argued this with MJ for about 2 years on here. In fact, here is exactly what I posted to MJ as my last comments on the matter:

Here are my final thoughts on Jameis Winston for 2014. Jameis has proven to be a star on the field and moron off it, after being accused of sexual assault, anyone with an inkling of comprehension of society’s “court of public opinion” would make every effort to curtail their behavior in a manner that would leave no doubt as to one’s innocence. Sadly, Jameis was either so confident he did no wrong that he carried on as if no one doubted him OR he suffers from entitlement syndrome. On that, I have no idea.

Regardless, his actions since the accusations have been idiotic, to say the least. So, ignorant, yes. Rapist, nope. Sadly, people (especially rival fans and agenda-driven sports writers) want to convict Jameis despite glaring evidence that clearly shows his innocence and justify it with moronic behavior. Ask yourself how stupid it is to say, “Well, he stole crab legs, so he must have raped her.” And we think Jameis is the moron.
