This whole
thread sucks. For
once--in how many weeks already?--the "report" was more
official than just "
reportedly-agree".
So where on ITG was that
official announcement by UCLA that they hired Chip? You know, the
1 thing that is genuine
confirmed news, but we practically never see posted here on ITG? Hey-ell, the link was right there in the
1st sentence of the already-linked
BR article by Timothy Rapp! So 1 day later, has the
official announcement by UCLA already been posted or
linked?
Nooo!
UCLA Bruins (inexplicably undated) said:
UCLA Names Chip Kelly New Head Football Coach
In 4 seasons, Kelly coached Oregon to a 46-7 record and 3 conference championships. [....]

Sensibly followed on ITG by any replies that are about Chip and
only about Chip, whether about manipulating U(F)AA, prospects for creating
championship football teams at UCLA, panic in the Pac-12, fear of the challenges of the SEC, Yankee bigotry against the South, &c. But about
no other coaches at all!
But
nooo! The increasingly demented mob here just turns it into off-topic bull-manure sling-fest about every
other football personality who they think might be eager, or agreeable, or toleraant of being signed by UF.
All with practically no proof--as usual: It's become a
complete waste of time.
Hey-ell, if I were to start a
thread about Vladimir
Putin dying (there's not even such a rumor in genuine news, but why let that stop me on ITG?), and within half-a-dozen replies, the thread would metastasize to yet another ITG free-for-all about who should become the UF football head-coach, but just repeating criticism, praise, and preferences that've already been posted in other
threads! As if there aren't already
enough ITG threads about it. It's effin'
lunacy, except without a full moon in the night sky!
We'd
all be better off here in ITG if our sole
survivingModerator ‘passoverGator’ would take prompt action:
•
lock all ITG threads,
•
block any new ITG threads, and
• take a
few-weeks vacation in some earthly
paradise that's free from Internet service and U.S. sports-news.
