Kelly to UCLA - 5 Years

We likely dodged a bullet with Kelly. I’ve heard it reported before regarding his affinity for the west coast lifestyle, but didn’t give it much thought. It does seem now like he probably wouldn’t have been satisfied unless he was coaching out West. There were even rumors about his interest in the Arizona State job.
We don’t need a Lame Kitten at UT type scenario, were a coach is always looking for greener pastures. That’s particularly why I hope we pass on Frost. Even though he is my first option as a hire, I don’t think he would ever be happy if he decided to pass on Nebraska.
Imo we HAVE to hire either Mullen or Taggert. Two guys that would literally run to UF.

Kiffin is talented but a total mess. Spurrier was a smart aleck and all that but he had already won the ACC at Duke when he came here. Kiffin has flamed out everywhere he’s gone. He threw away Layla:

Kiffen isn't getting hired....Frost, Norvell or Mullen would all be good hires. How good I'm not sure...I would think Frost and Mullen might recruit better
Florida needs somebody who has been to the big dance and can coach in the SEC…If they don’t find anyone we will be back here in 3 years and UF will go bankrupt owing a ton of salaries to previous HCs…

His flameouts are really pretty spectacular. Al Davis called him “fundamentally dishonest” when he fired him. Pat Haden fired him at the stadium and wouldn’t let him on the team bus. Saban fired him two weeks before playing in the national championship game. Kiffin really must have a knack for pissing off his boss.

Cosign. Kiffin's issue is he got prestigious jobs well before he was ready and the immaturity showed. Pete Carroll called him the best young offensive mind he's ever been around. Saban had similar praise. I mean this dude had an NFL job, Tennessee, and USC job by his early 30's, he was that well thought of in the industry. Most coaches don't get one of those opportunities in their careers much less three. But he wasn't ready for any of em. He's doing major work at FAU now, he would be a high upside hire.

I turned it off...not watching this garbage. Thank god the season is over...at least Mac is gone. We'll see who gets hired in the next week or two...hopefully Frost but onto Gator Basketball and the rest of the football teams.
I agree he got too much too fast and lost his damn mind. And if there was any evidence he had learned from his mistakes, I’d be all for it. But thats not a good sign when Saban, who would steamroll his mother for a win fires you in the run up to the national title game. That was like a year ago.
Kiffin is only a Coach because of his dad, that is a fact… without his dad he wouldn’t even gotten any coaching job…
Btw Danny show me Kiffins ring that Les is wearing? Les is 10 times as better than Kiffin any day of the week!!! And LSU firing Les only showed how stupid they really are in the Bayou because what have they done since then? Les wasn’t the problem but the staff under him were the problems and it shows today!!!

I think he just has a personality that rubs people the wrong way. He's a douchebag no doubt about it. I think he's learned how to be a more organized HC though, you don't turn around FAU so quickly otherwise. They were a disaster and he's about to win a conference championship year 1.

Dana Holgorsen is a solid head coach, runs a great offense...not sure he how we would do in the SEC but he certainly should be considered.
He lives in a hotel for years and is a drunk.
I’d take him, but if we’re advocating him, he’s got way more baggage than Kiffin when it comes to weird personal stuff.
And Spacey is awesome. Who cares? Those hollywood people are weird. I find it odd that they decided to put themselves as freaks.
No to Holgorsen. He is back using an OC that just slings the ball and mostly ignores the good RB they have. That crap wont work well in the SEC.
People used to say the same thing about Urban Meyer before he came to Gainesville. I'm not worried about holgorsen's offense. The guy clearly knows how to run a team that can have a good offense. Again he would be at the bottom of the list. Frost, Mullen, Patterson at the top for me.
I am. He actually had a little balance the last few seasons before he brought in Spavital.
