As bad-ugly-baby as it was, it's never a completely wasted weekend when the Gator win,,, and the sorry criminoles lose... 
The scuttlebutt going around is that UT-Austin and Oklahoma have no intention of signing another GoR with the Big12. They are planning to bail for other conferences and leave the equivalent of another AAC behind.
I can't imagine Herman staying put to become the long-reigning "Bobby Bowden of Houston" if he knows that the school is doomed, even if they do get accepted into the Big12.
Supposedly Strong will be in place for the remainder of the season, no matter what. Either UT has some kind of backdoor agreement with Herman, or the Longhorn boosters are exhibiting an extraordinary amount of self-restraint.
