I was curious why a guy who gets so much info from 247 won’t even use their composite rankings that average all the sites. A little research shows Rivals has some of our soon to be commits (like Zip) ranked SIGNIFICANTLY lower than most other sites. I would wager our composite class may end up around 10. And just like last years cycle, suddenly Mullen is getting interest from top players who were considered ‘locks’ elsewhere, ie - Chatfield. I think Fever just spoke way too much, way too soon

I have always used Rivals generally myself as far as recruiting rankings but I can see why some people think the composite average is a good one to use also. Rivals doesn't seem quite as quick to give out 5 stars as some others do from what I have seen.

I hope I jumped the gun also as it would be worth the crap I will have to hear if he gets a top 10 class.

Fever, I think you just need to give it a little room to grow.

The brand has been tarnished the last 8-9 years. Some would say significantly.

Spurrier built a juggernaut. Zook was a good recruiter and we were still riding pretty high when Meyer took over. Kids that are graduating this year have probably never seen a good Florida team. They were all 9 year olds the last time we played for a championship.

With the recent success of our rivals (Bama, fsu, uga) and established guys like Meyer pulling recruits out of state make it tough. Even competing with Richt at Miami, it’s going to be a slow build by former standards

I think putting a product on the field that looks like real football for a change is the biggest thing Mullen can do to improve his recruiting.

Cherry picking I see. But as to that cherry, both have won the same amount of games as starters so far, that jury is still out, as is Riley who is unlikely to play much if at all until next year.

But I see that you didn't mention either Pierce or Dean...
After all Pierce only had more HS career rushing yards than H.Walker had.

"May" OK 18 instead of 17 there and I said 17th or so after that. That is just nitpicking and people have lied many times about my claims.

Like I said above I hopefully have to admit I was way off and an idiot and he gets a top 10 Rivals class and I will even admit I was off quite a bit since I changed my original goalpost (14th or so best case) to a worse class prediction if he even gets like a 13th or so ranked Rivals class.

You are just reinforcing what I said - go look at my posts around that time frame. I could nitpick any claim here with that joke of a standard. 17th etc. is around 20th.

Here I will bold this as a clear and concise statement and hope I am called out on the carpet on it come signing day.

If Mullen gets a top 10 Rivals class I was a stupid idiot that should have never doubted Mullen's 2nd class would be a top 10 class at a place like UF.

If Mullen gets a class ranked 11th to 13th in Rivals I admit I was definitely off a little in my most recent thoughts about where I thought the class would end up but a coach should never be getting non-top 10 classes at UF in a 2nd class with many spots available.

If it ends up 14th or worse Rivals I won't be saying anything about things being good because that is Coach Mac crappy level for a 2nd class at UF.
