While I hardly think we'll be seeing many of the mutts around here, have at them. Just take a care, this time last year, nobody was giving us a snowball's chance in heck of beating them and look what happened. The table is reversed this year so let's not start the celebration just yet.

Till they get here, let me see if I can get it started for them...
Gaters are jort wearing, mullet sporting, N.FL cracker hicks.
(from the buttsniffin' legghumping mutts)

There, that outta do it.... --- :D

 UF 17 - 9 UGa

f UGA

I'll take any win over the mangy mutts, anytime

Not so fast, as much as you or I would love to beat them 60-0, we all must understand that first and foremost, we need to beat them, but still make sure that Richt keeps his job. The last thing anyone in Florida wants is for UGLy or Tennessee to hire a competent coach and become a threat to us in the East.

Run it up to 76--0[#], and you've got yourself a deal!

Perhaps more important to long-suffering Gators, we still need 8 more victories in a row just to even up the series, which now stands at 41--49--2[*].

That's quite a tall order, especially because the longest win streak by either team is 7 games, and we're already on what could be called (by anyone indifferent to self-contradiction) a 1 game winning streak.

-------
Note #: Cf. 0--75 devastation by Wally Butts' Dogs in Jax, on 7 Nov. 1942: exactly 11 months after the attack on Pearl Harbor, with the Gators trying to play the season's complete schedule with a team that was severely depleted by the patriotic departure of players & prospects to the U.S. Armed Forces.

Note *: That's by Florida accounting, which rejects the "Florida" loss in Macon by the wishfully renamed college team from Lake City, né Florida Agricultural College. Of course, in Georgia accounting, they doggedly include it as a valid win by themselves against "Florida".

I have a good feeling about this one....last game was a game that followed controversy, and had a lot of stuff go wrong that doesn't normally go wrong. The team hung in there, and fought to the end, and it took some lucky bounces and trick plays for LSU to pull it out. We bounce back this week and get it done.

they have the same bad staff and a worse team while ours is much much better with the Coach of the year

We would have to beat ourselves to lose this one and their QB is gonna have a really long day running from our defense with no RB to offset things for him and create balance.

Would love to blow their doors off from the get go. Put this thing to bed by halftime.

I'm hoping these two weeks are being used to add a bunch of new wrinkles to Treon's playbook. And also to finally heal up Anzalone.

Florida is favored by three

yep, that's why I posted what I did in that other thread days prior.

but there's nothing like being called little brother on Warchant. They really believe that

I'd love to see what the nation thinks if you polled which school is actually little brother

They are more retarded over there than the FSU fans here. And that is saying something. In fact, some of the FSU fans that post here go full retard when they post over there.

This is largely meaningless as the bulk of those stats on offense came when UGLY had Chubb and when we had Grier as QB.

The big difference I see in the game is our defense is elite, theirs is really crap. Our QB is serviceable and got the job done last year just handing the ball off 50 times to the RBs, their QB is a disaster throwing the football, so neither team has an edge there. The game SHOULD come down to our defense just completely wrecking anything they try to do on offense the entire game.

For crying out loud, Tennessee beat this team as soon as Chubb got injured. Tennessee. Let that sink into your skulls just how bad this UGLY team is. Even if they've had several weeks to prepare, what do they have to work with? Their entire season hinged on running the Chubb, just like last year was all about running Girly. This year their backup isn't as equal a replacement for losing Chubb as Chubb was for Girly last year. If we get out fast ahead of them early, like a 21 point lead, then they have to largely abandon the running game and try to pass to catch up. At that point the game is won for us as far as I'm concerned.

That's simply cause they took FSU's position coach and made him their head coach. By that token, you could call Florida, Texas's little brother, at least during the Muschamp regime. Thank god that ended. SEC schools (other than Tennessee, Vandy, and Mississippis) should NEVER be a coach's first head coaching job. Ever. Georgia should have more pride than that. They should just know better, as should we. I think we learned our lesson with Muschamp though. Never again hire a coach without knowing what his head coaching skills are. Leave that to the developmental programs to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

Georgia deserves to be called Little Brother by FSU, because they STILL have FSU's coordinator as their head coach.

UGA was actually pounding Tennessee after Chubb went down and were up by 21. Tennessee had a massive comeback. And still Reggie Davis dropped a potential game tying TD pass at the end. UGA isn't nearly as bad as some would like them to be.

I think the timing is about as good as it could be having the extra time to get Harris ready to start.

Wow. Looking at the numbers, UGA actually has slightly better stats on offense and defense. I don't know how a poster above can compare the two and say UF has an elite defense and UGA's defense is "garbage".

I am pulling for UF to win, but am worried UF's offense will find it difficult to consistently drive the ball. UF's running game hasn't looked good, and the passing game is still finding itself.

Agent Muschamp is no longer on our sideline. But I almost always, always worry about this game

What worries me is that we can't run for sh*t. UGA uses an odd front and they're very light upfront so they can be bullied, but I don't even think we'll be able to do it. Which means we'll be in obvious passing situations all night, and they have 3 really good pass rushers in Carter, Floyd, and Jenkins. If that happens we're gonna be in a world of hurt. Oh and our defense is Jekyll and Hyde, so I'm worried about their lack of tackling against UGA's backs.

They no longer have a bruising back with speed. Michele is fast, but is brought down a lot more easily than Chubb. So I worry less than I did about that. Their QB is no threat to run. And he is a turnover machine. And finally, while the stats for both teams are close, we have done better against common opponents and overall have played a far more difficult schedule.

So, while I am worried, I am also cautiously optimistic.

Did I mention no more Agent Muschamp?

Our defense has had to play against much better offenses so far than what UGAs defense has had to play against. They have only faced Bama and UT that have respectable offenses. We've faced East Carolina, Ole Miss, UT and LSU. Even Kentucky has a better offense than the next best offense UGAs defense has faced after Bama and UT.

Those are good points MJ and Paco, game just scares the hell of out me man. We should win, but they present some matchup problems for us that could lose us the game.

If we show up and play like we have been playing then we win. My major concern is still Harris though.

Oh Dear. I'm afraid you're getting distracted. It's Georgia week. Please focus.

If we shut down their running game is over. I doubt Lambert can beat us.

This can turn into a blow out if our OL finds a way to keep improving, and we can start getting our running game going. Scarlett- I want to see him get more carries.

Depends on your offense. If you can't run the ball (like you couldn't against LSU), the game will depend on Harris. What is UF's strength on offense? Is it the passing game?

Numbers always have SoS modifiers. FSUcks stats are always a prime example of that.
The proof of that is demonstrated in FSUcks 16 - 22 GaTech....
