This is dead on. We pretty much have to weather this storm as best we can. We’re not totally broke but we certainly can’t afford to just fire him after one season considering this isn’t a Norvell problem. He didn’t start this train off the cliff he’s just trying to find some wings to put on it to get it back on track.

Luckily, the ACC is down outside of Clemson so wins, even wins against weaker opponents, help perception. We just need 2021 to get here and get started. Norvell is our guy for a few years. Lord, help him. Fortunately, I have a huge wiener so a bad season doesn’t kill my sense of self worth.

I think Norvell is a pretty good coach but I don’t think he is good enough or the type of coach to rebuild a program. It’s a tall order to go from a non-power 5 program to a Power 5 program that is a complete mess. He’s having to do something and experience something he’s never had to do before and that is rebuild a program.

And I think that's exactly what FSU has to do.

Wait it out. Get rid of the remnants of Jimbo and retool the problems from Taggert until they, hopefully, have some sort of decent situation. If Norvell still can't get anything going, then the best hope is that FSU has righted the ship enough financially and roster wise to make a move to a different coach.

That being said, if that DOES happen, they should probably give him another couple of years.

So I'm saying 3 years at least, and 5 years if there seems to be a move in the right direction after 3

But it won't happen. The Jags are sticking with Marrone. I know, I know. But Shad Kahn is a patient dude, and it's obvious they blew up the team to get a top pick and start over, and no way the coach and GM agree to that unless they have assurance they will be retained for at least another year, probably two.

3-8 seems a best case scenario. With the way they are falling apart, they may not even play their last couple of games.

Probably about the same. Can’t just look at points scored when everybody is scoring lots of points this year. Look at where the offenses ranked nationally. FSUs is towards the bottom of the country.

They’re also playing much worse teams. Even when the sec East was terrible, and it was, it was still better than whatever division they play in within the acc. It’s funny too how often they’re shut out on the second half. It’s like the other team is making adjustments and they’re not. That shows how really bad they are. Other teams have basically given them a free half then come back to shut them down when it counts. I hope they fire norcelllllll and can’t hire a coach at all and have to rehire Willie. I wish that had happened last time. It’s absolutely what they deserve.
