This is dead on. We pretty much have to weather this storm as best we can. We’re not totally broke but we certainly can’t afford to just fire him after one season considering this isn’t a Norvell problem. He didn’t start this train off the cliff he’s just trying to find some wings to put on it to get it back on track.There's just no way they fire him.
Honestly, they might as well just concede the next few years and let him rebuild the program and get their finances back in order.
No big time coach will want to touch that program right now and frankly they don't have the money. So what do they do? Lose more money on another buyout and then risk it on a cheap, unproven coach?
This roster is a mess, that's their problem.
Luckily, the ACC is down outside of Clemson so wins, even wins against weaker opponents, help perception. We just need 2021 to get here and get started. Norvell is our guy for a few years. Lord, help him. Fortunately, I have a huge wiener so a bad season doesn’t kill my sense of self worth.
