Ugh, there is a reason why physical fitness was a foundation for military training. I can imagine some lardass going up against the enemy...pick an opponent. Technology will only get us so far, at some point its dudes slugging it out in the field. I can just see a platoon of fatboys rolling along in their electric scooters...with a sack of fast food. SMH.

If I remember right the Army physical training manuel claimed what happened in Korea is why a formal physical training program was put in place. It said a lot of soldiers became casualties because they weren't in good enough shape to do the long movements in those conditions. Young people were still mostly thin in those years. Imagine now if they have slacked off enforcing the standards.
