Is there a serious drug abuse problem in Columbia South Carolina?

LOL across the board on those comments.... :D:D:D

I'm thinking that the cocks did so well with one former Gator HBC, that they want to give another one a shot ---- BOOM! ;)

Terrible hire and a head scratcher for sure. I mean go after Dino Babers or even somebody like that way way before you even approach Muschamp. Makes no sense.

Coming to a Gamecock t-shirt shop near you

They had almost 2 months, owed Spurrier NOTHING, hired a search firm, and the end result is Will Muschamp.

Any AD with 2 days notice, an empty bank account, and no references could have probably made the same choice.

Seriously.

If we had known then what we know now, would we have hired Muschamp? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, ah, no.

But USC-E DOES know now what we didn't know then. That's what's really insane to me.

(Apologies to Bob Segar)

You have to appreciate the irony that South Carolina, an SEC East school who lost to an option-running FCS squad, decided to hire Will Muschamp, who is most infamous for being the head coach of an SEC East School that lost to an option-running FCS squad.

LOL.

Was SOS lobbying for him to get the job? Thought I heard that somewhere. That's a head scratcher if true.

Living in SC, I feel bad for my USCe friends. They are all getting excited about "Coach Boom" and desperately hoping he learned from his first go round. I had to correct a few today when they said Champ built an elite defense that has now won the SEC East (Durkin actually built that D). Also making excuses that Champ didn't recruit any of "his players to Auburn (exception of two according to them).

As mentioned above, I can't for the life of me understand how 2 months later, this is the best they could do. Herman and Smart were their top two picks and when those two said thanks but no thanks, this was clearly a desperation move. FWIW, I hear Malzahn was quoted as saying he was "totally blindsided" by Muschamps resignation.

I'm being serious. Ron Zook, Gene Chizik, or Bo Pelini would have been better hires. Is Phil Fulmer completely out of coaching? Could they not out bid Duke for David Cutcliffe? I'd take our LB coach over Muschamp. At least Shannon didn't destroy and set back scUM.

I guess Houston Nutt would have been a worse hire....maybe.

Speaking of substance abuse.

Steve Sarkasian would have been a better hire.

I mean the SCar battle cry is "second chance" so why not give Sark a second chance.

Tons of coaches would have been better hire. Take Gene Chizik from UNC. Chizik is even better. Heck take Clemson's OC or DC (Scott or Venables) would have been better hires because at least your hurting a rival.

The hire makes no sense out of all the football coaches out there.
